We all know that the Bribery Commission is packed with cronies of the MR regime and it is being used by the corrupt and dictatorial regime as a convenient tool to persecute individuals who have refused to do its bidding. Everybody knows that the government politicians are the most corrupt lot in the country. The Commission without moving a finger against those political scoundrels who have become multi-millionaires overnight, is on a witch hunt to oblige their Master! Shame !

Shirani the whole world knows your plight and is supporting you. Even at the UN your case has been discussed. Do not worry this government cannot do anything to you. They are worried that you may enter politics. You should support Chandrika when she enters politics again and sit in judgement of a public inquiry against all the wrong doings that are happening now.

What a huge difference between thIS LEGAL CHIEF JUSTICE and the ILLEGAL THIEF JUSTICE. The PURE SRI LANKAN INNOCENT SMILE proves beyond doubts her INNOCENCE. This VERY BRAVE AND GOLDEN LADY with an IMMACULATE HEART will be able to wipe the tears of WEEPING MOTHER LANKA very soon by becoming the second LADY PRESIDENT of Sri Lanka. This is the aspiration of all the PEACE-LOVING SRI LANKANS.

It is a baptism of fire, CJ Shirani Bandaranayake is going through. I pray she emerges unscathed , with greater fortitude and greater wisdom. Her dignity, silence and rectitude in the face of forces arraigned against her are admirable and confirm that she is the right person to be the CJ at this point in our history.

    Dr. Rajasingham Narendran.

Your integrity, boldness and iron womanhood similar to iron ladies who were dominant figures in the history should be compared to the weak vacillating spineless most POL leaders in SL today who will do any thing for money and position, which makes you even greater.

The Bribery Commission headed by a relation of the illegal CJ MP. All birds of a feather.

They will meet their match in CJ SB who can fight these cases by the law and for the law unlike the scoundrels who sell their souls for a mess of pottage and buy their seats on these august tribunals.

      Sirisena Yatawara,
Minister Rohitha Abeygoonewardena has refused to even attend courts to explain his unaccounted Rs.600 Million wealth,in the case filed by this same bribery commission, years ago.
      No arrest warrant issued yet.

You are unfairly condemning CJ Shirai B.
She has tendered a plea of “Not Guilty”.
The prosecution must now prove her guilty.

Reply to nalinperera: it wasn’t greed but it was faith in the nephew of your 3rd and famous prime minister; and of course deshamanaya and deshbandu. I am a foreigner. My wife is Sri Lankan. Inflation was officially 28.2% in June 2008. I was told the invested money was for ENT hospital, women and childrens hospital and microfinance for the poor. My first degree was in Agric Science and then I worked with the poor in India as a volunteer so my buttons were pushed. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have given away tens of lakhs since I have been here, much more than I have spent on myself. I have not visited home since 2005 (no money. And one last point- I tried to deposit my money in the NSB but they refused me as I am a foreigner. I then said to them I will put it in my wife’s name but I needed to be a beneficiary if anything happened to her. They even refused that. So…and the rest is history as they say.
