Hirunika’s intentions were clear all along. She hid nothing, she courted arrest. Now in accordance with the law she will be penalised; she knows that.

Her real motive is that by paying this price she is calling attention to all the rogues and murderers who are NOT being bought to book.

From that perspective, she has done something useful though not correct from the point of view of the law. (Jesus’s act of throwing the pharisees and sadducees out of the Temple for “corrupting” a place of worship, strictly speaking, was to improperly take the law into his own hands).

Quite right EWG. And when Gandhi led the people of India on the Salt March technically but openly, he was breaking the law.

Yes. She should be commended for that. During India’s Independence so many Indian leaders broke the Colonial British “Laws”, that the Jails became Hotels.

However, there is an underlying social problem. The desertion by one spouse.

This is the first time the number of divorce cases filed in Colombo District Court exceeded 1000. In 2014 the number of divorce cases filed was 998 while in 2013 it was 876.In 2012 the number of divorce cases filed in Colombo District Court was 943.

In most of the cases filed requesting for divorce the charge has been malicious desertion

It is funny she gets arrested for kidnapping but Mara and his goon family after murdering countless number of people are allowed body guards. Bloody joke!!!!!!!!!!!

Several possible reasons for the slow action:

      1. Arresting Mara and his family would cause chaos in at least half of the country. He is very popular still. Let him fade away a bit before taking action.

      2. Now that the police have been allowed to do their jobs the legal process resumes to what is right and proper according to the rules – meaning it is slow. The days of arrest without proper reason is behind us, as it should be.

So be patient. All in good time.

Basically Hirunika Premachandra is a immature fool. All these happened because of her immaturity which led to arrogance. Being an MP’s daughter having a luxurious lifestyle, she had been pampered a lot by her parents who provided everything she wanted without she having to struggle and she became a ‘spoilt child’. She thought outside her home is also like her home very forgiving and made a terrible mistake! She has to learn a lot now being ‘free’ without ‘protection’ and has to know she is responsible for what she does.

I do not think she has a criminal mind like many other politicians (she is too young for that), and I do not think she really meant harm to the man whom she got abducted. It is just she is young and immature and made a foolish show of arrogance which am sure she would now bitterly regret. She has to learn to control herself as this is not the first time she had altercations.

However having said of her immaturity being the cause, and not the criminal mindset which she does not have for now, she should learn to control herself, if not this innocence could pave the way to a criminal mind later on. She needs counselling.

Srikharan’s views are somewhat acceptable. Hirunika is another example of young people losing their when they get the opportunity of getting into positions of influence. MR’s children Namal and Yositha too fall into this category. Political leaders, who think of using such immature young people who have gained some popularity due to reasons other than through their own gradual development, are to be blamed. Whatever it is, it is going to be difficult for Hirunika to progres further in politics.

Yes, let’s not worry, the government will pay for those counseling sessions. Further she will make sure she indirectly compensates herself through illicit deal making in the future to come. So all is A ok.

      #audit these joker/scum politicians

The arrest shows Yahapalanaya is slowly but steadily progressing. That is a good sign. No one should take the law into their own hands, and if they do then the long arm of the law should deal with that person according to law. Now arrest Mahinda, Namal, Yoshita, Shiranthi in that order.

Super strategy, So from now on any VVIP can be arrested? A very scary team at work , seems siri & Rani ,can … A well planned & played drama. Many will soon be spending the rest of their lives in magezine mansion.
