Islamic State; Conspiracy To Carve Out A New Country

In a televised speech on Wednesday 10 September 2014, President Barack Obama outlined what he described “as a reasonable strategy” for attacking the so called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, renamed Islamic State -IS.

He said “We will not get dragged into another ground war in Iraq.  Instead, this will be a war where others—mainly Iraqi soldiers—fight on the ground, while American advisers devise the battle plans and American pilots pummel the enemy with missiles and bombs.

The message is clear- get Iraqis to kill Iraqis and destroy Iraq and Syria.  America will supervise the destructions and killings besides bombings both Iraq and Syria to the benefit of Israel.

To justify his military strikes on Iraq and Syria, Obama used in his speech the same language what American and British Zionist war criminals George Bush and Tony Blair used to justify their invasions of Afghanistan 27 days after11 September 2001 and Iraq in March 2003.

Obama is busy blackmailing and building up a coalition in the same way Bush and Blair blackmailed and built up a coalition to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. According to US Secretary of State John Kerry ten Arab regimes, not the people, agreed to join Obama’s coalition for war.   No less than five out of these ten happen to be the ones who trained, weaponized and facilitated the “flowers of evil” of IS blooming in Syria.

Certainly the aerial bombardment will destroy what is left of both Iraq and Syria besides slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocent people as   Bush and   Blair did when they invaded and destroyed Afghanistan Iraq by exploiting the media to sell lies and deception.

America together with Saudis ruling Satans created Al Qaeda and Taliban. They demonized them and spread fear psychosis to justify their invasions. In the footsteps of Bush and Blair, Obama is making war preparations to destroy the very same Islamic State which, many suspect, is an American creation.

The  barbarity unleashed by IS  so far  demonstrate that it is a  group of fascist murderous thugs  to further demonize Islam and Muslims to serve  war mongers’ evil designs.

The IS does not represent Islam in any way.  Instead they harmed the inspiring and peaceful Islam which contributed to the growth of not only human civilization but also Western civilization. One should not forget that certain section of Jews, like the present Zionist Jews, were enemies of Islam from the very inception of Islam.

Muslims worldwide condemn the IS   which serves as a tool for the Israeli, US and European anti Muslim crusaders’ propaganda machinery.

The question is who are these well trained, well financed and well equipped IS gangsters? From where did they descend in the land locked Syria and grab northern Iraqi territories in lightening speed?  How did they bring their weapons into these areas? Who provided such good military training? How did they cross the desert with a skilled, full-fledged army crammed with advanced artillery to capture a territory larger than the UK?

According to  reports   IS was funded by Saudi’s brutal and oppressive regime, equipped   with weapons by US which is threatening humanity with its wars  to help corporate conglomerates to loot the world  and trained by Israel’s Mossad in  Jordan- another US -Israeli stooge.

IS is also a conspiracy to set the Sunnis against Shiites who lived in peace before the advent of US-European invaders to destroy what is left of the already destroyed Iraq and Syria.  American stooge Nuri al Maliki had already prepared the ground work for   such a conflict by openly supporting Shiites and discriminating and dismissing the Sunnis.

So it’s no wonder the Arab Street is drowning in skepticism about who’s really running the IS show. It can’t be Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a.k.a Caliph Ibrahim, all by himself. How come The Caliph, out of the. No less than five out of these seven happen to be the   ones who trained, weaponized, and facilitated the “flowers of evil” of IS blooming in Syria.

IS is a formidable machine oiled by all forms of extortion, kidnapping for ransom, outright bank and jewelry robbery and taxing of residents. But the Holy Grail is definitely oil smuggling.

The Caliph now controls seven oil fields and two refineries in northern Iraq, plus six oil fields in northeastern Syria – extracting, realistically, at least 40,000 barrels a day. They sell all this oil at a cut-rate $25 to a maximum of $60 a barrel. Brent crude, as a comparison, is currently over $100 on the London ICE Futures Europe exchange.

The Caliph is making roughly $2 million a day, and everything paid for in cash or bartered goods. No one knows who’s buying from the Islamic State’s complex distribution network of middlemen, but the fact is the oil flows from Caliph-controlled“Syraq” to Turkey and Jordan.

If the Obama administration were really serious at targeting The Caliph, they’d be following the money, deploying local Intel to track where the money actually is (certainly not in a bank). Instead, all the rhetoric   is about more bombing of – another historical irony – made in USA hardware left behind by the Iraq army; more drones; and eventually, more “boots on the ground”. .

Washington has already got regime change-lite in Baghdad. The CIA and the Pentagon are thinking in terms of We bomb The Caliph/Caliph fights Assad/Hezbollah gets involved/Divide and Rule and More Chaos/We bomb a little to the side/Assad falls.

It won’t work, though. Washington thought – until the capture of Mosul – that The Caliph was under control. But he has a mind of his own – and a lot of cash still flowing from Saudi and Kuwaiti backers, apart from the oil smuggling. The Caliph dreams of being intimately involved in the House of Saud’s succession, and even making a play for power himself.

Columnist and author Sunny Hunda said that in many ways it is perhaps the worst development in recent Muslim history since 9/11. This is likely to cause even greater unrest in countries where Muslims aren’t a majority, and could tear apart the Middle East and cause further unrest for generations.

The overt support of IS, combined with the fact that it is battling the same Syrian government the Obama administration overtly sought to wage war against just one year ago, strongly suggest the organization’s sponsorship by Western intelligence and military interests.

“During the Cold War, but also in its aftermath,” columnist Michel Chossudovsky observes, the CIA—using Pakistan’s military intelligence apparatus as a “go between”—played a key role in training the Mujhadeen. In turn, the CIA-sponsored guerrilla training was integrated with the teachings of Islam. Both the Clinton and Bush administrations have consistently supported the “Militant Islamic Base”, including Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda, as part of their foreign policy agenda. The links between Osama bin Laden and the Clinton administration in Bosnia and Kosovo are well documented by congressional records

The Arabic version of Doha based Aljazeera, has joined the growing chorus questioning the beheading of journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff. The news channel says the videos are “unconvincing” and Foley and Sotloff are actors right out of “Hollywood” casting. It believes the videos were produced as a pretext ahead of a U.S. invasion of Syria. “Perhaps the first thing that draws the attention of the viewer” in the first beheading video is that “Foley was playing the role of champion not the victim only, for he recites a lengthy statement in peerless theatrical performance, and it seems from tracking the movement of his eyes that he was reading a text from an autocue,”

As the United States and world observe the thirteenth anniversary of the most momentous false flag in modern history, the American public would be well-served to remind itself that IS is the new Al Qaeda—in other words, the new pretext that will in all likelihood be used to take police state measures at home and military aggression abroad to new, perhaps unprecedented, levels.

Meanwhile well known Indian columnist Prof Ram Punyani wrote in an article titled ISIS, Oil Politics and Peaking of Islamophobia that; there are enough good resources to tell us about the scheme of US in the West Asia to control the oil wealth. The US dictum for this area has been ‘Oil is too precious a commodity to be left to control of natives’. While one has burnt midnight oil to unravel the trajectory of US policy through books with solid scholarship, the job of understanding this has become easy with a small video clip of Hillary Clinton. Very smartly and briskly she tells us that it was US which created Al Qaeda by indoctrinating the Muslim youth. A peep into the history of the region tells us that this indoctrination was done by using the distorted version of Islam, Wahabbism to be more precise.

This force, Al Qaeda was created, richly funded and armed to the teeth by US, to fight the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. With the brutality of Al Qaeda being manifest, US media presented its demonic image by coining the word ‘Islamic terrorism’ after 9/11 2001. Before this 9/11 episode, the acts of terror were not linked to religion, though people coming from different religions have resorted to such acts. From killer of Mahatama Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, to Buddhist monks resorting to terror acts in Thailand, Mynmar, Sri Lanka to Anders Berling Brevik of Norway, people coming from different religious stocks have indulged in acts of terror for diverse political reasons. After 9/11 the acts of terror was associated exclusively with Islam.

Interestingly the version of Islam picked up by US to create Al Qaeda, to indoctrinate Mujahideen in to terror trails, was formulated by Abd al-Wahhab, who had started rigidifying Islam; imposing his exclusive version in the projection of Islam.

This version suited the Saudi ruling family in keeping their control over oil resources and the same version suited the US designs, where the meaning of Kafir (One who denies the truth) is changed to the non Muslim, the ‘other’.

What do they do now with Wahabi Islam in head and armaments received courtesy the United States, in hands? So IS comes up in due course, and the illusion that they can now rule the World, they will install Khalifa, and all the insanity follows!

As such US has been out to play ‘divide and rule’ like the earlier colonial powers. In India colonial powers sowed the seeds of communal politics. In West Asia, during last few decades after the demise of Soviet Union; US imperialism is aiming to create smaller states along ethnic-sectarian divides and feeding into the divides and clashes along Shia-Sunni-Kurd lines. ‘Divide-et-empera’ (divide and rule) is at its peak but is also at the same time demonizing the Muslims Worldwide through the Islam phobia which is constructed around the evil deeds of the likes of Al Qaeda or IS.

How can we bring in reason in ‘social thinking’ in the face of powerful vested interests who want to use and abuse religion for their political goals, demonize a religious community is a question not easy to resolve. Challenging the prevalence of ideas of the dominant sections, dominant social powers; is a tall order, which has to be taken up in all seriousness if we want peace and progress in our society.

In an article titled “Obama Threatens War on humanity” American columnist Stephen Lendman said   “Permanent war is official US policy. Obama is the latest in a long line of rogue warrior presidents. He’s waged multiple direct and proxy wars. He’s done so throughout his tenure. He has lots more death and destruction in mind. More on this below. America’s culture is violent. It’s always been this way. It glorifies wars in the name of peace. It has the highest homicide among Western nations by far.

    Dear Writer,

I could not read the full article of yours, but one thing I would like to state as a Muslim is that before we point fingers at Western Powers, let us look inwards.

Are our as called fighters/Jihadists follow the principles enshrined in Islam for fighting injustice. My answer is a BIG NO.How on earth can any Jihadist kill an innocent civilian in the name of Islam, let them be Muslims or Non Muslims. Did our Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) approve of that. I don’t think so. You might argue, that is the way some of the Western Powers and Israel do, so we also do. Then it becomes a worldly fight and do not call it Islamic.

We cannot win against the Oppressors the way we think is the best way to fight. On the contrary we need to look deep into the teachings of Quran and the practices of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), which gives clear guidelines on how to win against the Oppressors, not surrender but fight with acceptable means of fighting, definitely not by killing innocent civilians, not to mention the savage beheading of hostages by IS and all other previous groups in the name of Islam. THERE IS NOTHING ISLAMIC ABOUT IT.

Finally, why is that the renowned Islamic Scholars take a bold step and pronounce an edict (Fathwa) on all these groups that what they are doing is not acceptable (Haram) in the name of Islam so that the masses will steer clear from these savage groups and isolate them from the Muslim community.

I think it is high time to do that, otherwise the noble religion we Muslims practice will be hijacked by these groups and tarnished in the eyes of non muslims and make them run away from Islam contrary to Prophet’s time, when so many non muslims embraced Islam, not by sword but by his exemplary life also followed by his companions (Sahabis). Then and only then, the divine help will come and till then only the party with more fire power and hi tech will win.I need not say who possesses that.

Pause for a moment think deep and correct me, if I am wrong.

BAGHDAD: Early this year Sunni Arab worshippers in the Iraqi city of Fallujah were surprised to see an armed man in sunglasses, instead of the regular sheikh, ascend the mosque pulpit.

The visibly agitated moderate sheikh stood aside, silenced by an Islamist militant preaching violence against Iraq’s security forces.

“The man was wearing a dishdasha and on top of that, a shoulder holster containing a gun,” said one worshipper who asked not to be identified. “The sheikh appeared extremely agitated. When the man delivered the sermon the sheikh kept staring at the floor like he didn’t want to hear it.”

The stifling of conciliatory voices among Iraq’s Sunni Arab religious leaders bodes ill for prospects of quelling a Sunni Islamist insurgency that has grabbed large swathes of the country.

The armed man preached that it was halal to rob or kill members of Iraq’s security forces, in a sermon meant as a slap in the face to the regular sheikh’s edict a week earlier forbidding such acts.

BAGHDAD (AP) — The extremist-held Iraqi city of Mosul is set to usher in a new school year. But unlike years past, there will be no art or music. Classes about history, literature and Christianity have been “permanently annulled.”

The Islamic State group has declared patriotic songs blasphemous and ordered that certain pictures be torn out of textbooks.

But instead of compliance, Iraq’s second largest city has — at least so far — responded to the Sunni militants’ demands with silence. Although the extremists stipulated that the school year would begin Sept. 9, pupils have uniformly not shown up for class, according to residents who spoke anonymously because of safety concerns. They said families were keeping their children home out of mixed feelings of fear, resistance and uncertainty.

“What’s important to us now is that the children continue receiving knowledge correctly, even if they lose a whole academic year and an official certification,” a Mosul resident who identified himself as Abu Hassan told The Associated Press, giving only his nickname for fear of reprisals. He and his wife have opted for home schooling, picking up the required readings at the local market.

The fall of Mosul on June 10 was a turning point in Iraq’s war against the jihadi group that calls itself the Islamic State. The U.S.-trained Iraqi military, harassed for months by small-scale attacks, buckled almost instantly when militants advanced on the city. Commanders disappeared. Pleas for more ammunition went unanswered. In some cases, soldiers stripped off their uniforms and ran.

The city would come to represent the expanding power and influence of the extremist group, which was born in Iraq but spread to Syria, where it grew exponentially in the chaos of the country’s civil war. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the group’s reclusive leader, made his first video appearance in Mosul in July to announce his vision for a self-styled caliphate — an Islamic state — of which he would be the caliph, or leader.

Part of the Islamic State group’s core strategy is to establish administration over lands that it controls to project an image of itself as a ruler and not just a fighting force. In parts of Syria under its control, the group now administers courts, fixes roads and even polices traffic. It recently imposed a curriculum in schools in its Syrian stronghold, Raqqa, scrapping subjects such as philosophy and chemistry, and fine-tuning the sciences to fit with its ideology.

In Mosul, schools have been presented with a new set of rules, advertised in a two-page bulletin posted on mosques, in markets and on electricity poles. The statement, dated Sept. 5, cheered “good news of the establishment of the Islamic State Education Diwan by the caliph who seeks to eliminate ignorance, to spread religious sciences and to fight the decayed curriculum.”

The new Mosul curriculum, allegedly issued by al-Baghdadi himself, stresses that any reference to the republics of Iraq or Syria must be replaced with “Islamic State.” Pictures that violate its ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam will be ripped out of books. Anthems and lyrics that encourage love of country are now viewed as a show of “polytheism and blasphemy,” and are strictly banned.

The new curriculum even went so far as to explicitly ban Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution — although it was not previously taught in Iraqi schools.

Abu Hassan and his fellow residents acknowledge the risks involved in keeping the children at home, but say that protecting their minds is equally important. “They will brainwash them and contaminate their thoughts,” he said.

This past weekend, some families said that a new statement from the Islamic State group began circulating through the city, demanding that students show up for class on Tuesday. Others said they never received the notice.

The Australian government needs no urging to drop bombs on Iraq and Syria. The Government of Tony Abbott indicated their preparedness to get militarily involved even before they were asked to do so by the Yanks. The Australian Air Force is keen to test out its new, expensive American-made hardware, and the government wants to boast how it is doing its bit to fight “Jihadist terrorism”. The problem is Australia has a history (if not a reputation) for getting involved in any war they assess the British and American governments will support. In the 1950s the Menzies government asked for the British to test out atom bombs in Maralinga; it wasn’t forced on the Australian government – though it was forced on the Aboriginal people who lived there. Since then they have sent troops to Malaysia, Timor, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere under the supposed terms of the ANZUS and ANZAC agreements.

The Australian weapons inspector Richard Butler played a key role in convincing the world that Iraq had hidden stockpiles of biological and chemical weapons. The British and the West knew that Saddam Hussein once owned these chemical and biological weapons because they had sold them to him. The Belgian weapons inspector Hans Blix had conformed that Saddam Hussein had destroyed the stockpiles as he had said he would, but Blix was sidelined and the Australian Richard Butler’s opinion prevailed. Meanwhile, the Australian Wheat Board (AWB) was bribing Saddam Hussein’s regime and making a killing though the oil for wheat program of the UN.

The Syrian president Assad has been warning for ages about the danger posed by armed fanatics and terrorists who were being armed and trained with the help of the West and his regional enemies. Obama has recently announced that he will be increasing support for the “non-extremist” “rebels”/”opposition” in Syria. The US President doesn’t seem to realize that shooting people is an extremist action in the first place. Pumping more weapons into the region just makes the region more dangerous and violent. President Assad mentioned the role of Turkey, which is now common knowledge, as is the role of the Arab Gulf States and Saudi Arabia in feeding what has given rise to ISIS/ISIL.

The Australian government is justifying sending military advisers and air force personnel to the impending war with ISIS by the fact that there are an estimated 150 Australians fighting with the terrorists. Those who are killers should be arrested by the police and face civilian law in Iraqi and Syrian courts, but it is not a reason to drop more bombs on these devastated countries. By considering this a primarily policing matter (with the help of the Iraqi and Syrian military, if necessary) it will de-legitimize the “military” reputation of the “Islamic State”. They can be seen as the cruel criminals that they are.

The wealth of Muslim countries, mainly earned through
      natural resources,has been successfully blocked
from competing with the interests of the West by the
means of preventing access to democracy, propping up
monarchs and drowning them in the sea of extreme
belief in religion so that no other worldly objectives
can fully distract them.Muslims, mainly Arabs,Turks and
Persians,if not stopped from where they were once
pushed back, will bounce back.Present day Saudis are
doing a perfect job for the West by being the role
model of religiously blind rich and poor third world
Muslims who follow Islam without even making any
effort to even understand what they are following.
Out of the billions of followers, only a thousands know
about what they are up to and even those thousands
could have been on the payroll of Saudis.A dozen I

hypocrites. Some readers might feel hurt to read this,
but please try to understand that these are some of the
facts we refuse to look at because of our blind faith
for which the religion should not be blamed. It’s our

Practising Muslims will be surprised by the Wahabi Islam used by the writer. Perhaps, all Muslims should revisit and learn the teachings of Imam Muhammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab rather than splitting the Muslims further with sects.

We are all victims of propaganda specially cooked up by the western media. No Muslim in his/her right mind will condone the act of murder of innocent lives, be with IS or NATO.

ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al Shabab, Boko Haram, are role models of Muhammad. They do their duty to Allah exactly as in the Koran. Those who do not know Islam criticizes them. To say it all in one verse, leave out the context, Koran 48:29 says; “Mohammed is God’s apostle. Those who follow him are harsh to the unbelievers but merciful to one another”

Had Muhammad is alive today he’ll be reading new verses from Allah that would command his followers to behead kafirs (the American and their allies). But Latheef Farook says “IS does not represent Islam in any way.”

I am no muslim and Avtars,

“But Latheef Farook says “IS does not represent Islam in any way.”

      Stick to supportable historical information.

What a spin doctor. He forgets that 30 countries including many moslem states have formed a coalition to destroy ISIS.

“IS was funded by Saudi’s brutal and oppressive regime, equipped with weapons by US which is threatening humanity with its wars to help corporate conglomerates to loot the world and trained by Israel’s Mossad in Jordan- another US -Israeli stooge.”

Mr Latheef, be careful. Local Zionist agents like those who manage the Friday Forum, former editors of the Daily News who are currently fouling the Island, and the B&B karaya at Galagedara will come out to brand you a “conspiracy theorist”.

They are paid to do that.

At its height in the 1990s Muslims throughout the world thought Al-Qaeda will help them to take over and Islamise much of the world. But with their misadventure in launching 9/11 not only the backbone of Al-Qaeda was destroyed but most of its pay masters are now in the dust-bin of history.

The same fate will very likely overtake ISIS, which the Americans call ISIL (Levant) to include Jordan and other Muslim countries including those in Sub-Sahara. Already the Islamic world is split with the Saudis, Qataris and over a dozen Muslim states going with the West.

It is time Global Islam devise some form of methodology to live in peace and harmony with the rest of the world giving up their lust for blood, fetish for revenge, curse, beheading, stone-throwing until the man/woman is bloodied to death and other forms of medieval torture. The world has moved away from these beastly acts thousands of years ago.

Here is a note which I received in my mail concerning the ISIS – it’s a bit long – but is worth the read.

Evidence Exposing Who Put ISIS in Power
    and How it Was Done

Would it interest you to know who helped the ruthless massacring psychopaths, now known as “IS” aka the Islamic State, aka ISIS, aka ISIL, aka Al-Qaeda in Iraq to rise to power? Would it interest you to know who armed them, funded them and trained them? Would it interest you to know why?

Story of ISIS is a replay of the arming of the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan, which culminated in the demise of the Soviet Union.

It’s just a way to destabilize and destroy the self-determination of Middle Eastern nations, to keep the only business left that America does better than anyone: war.

What’s even better, the USG arms psychopathic proxies to do their dirty work for them, such as the “Islamic State” (IS) the artist formerly known as ISIS, aka ISIL, “al Qaeda in Iraq” and any other bloodthirsty psychos they can attract to fight by their side (hence the masks and reports of make-up to darken the skin of some non-Middle Eastern fighters).

On September 3, 2014, Retired Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney admitted: “We Helped Build ISIS.” This was achieved through the overthrow of the Libya, the African country with the highest standard of living in 2010, before the US and NATO troops invaded and killed its plastic-surgeried Generalissimo-for-Life. But life was undoubtedly better then.

Ever since the West’s “humanitarian” efforts of 2011, Libya has plunged into chaos, extremism and poverty. With funding provided by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the entire Libyan arsenal was smuggled to Syria via Turkey (a NATO ally) in what Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalist, Seymour Hersh described as “rat lines” in order for the West to use its psycho-jihadist Arab proxies to take down the Assad regime. As of now, IS has 35% penetration of Syria.

US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens had served as the US government’s liaison to the Libyan rebels since April of 2011. With Stevens dead, any direct US involvement in that arms shipment was buried, and Washington would continue to claim that they had not sent heavy weaponry into Syria.

in June of 2014, ISIS made its dramatic entry, crossing over the Syrian border into Iraq, capturing Mosul, Baiji and almost reaching Baghdad. The Internet was suddenly flooded with footage of drive-by shootings, large-scale death marches, and mass graves. And of course, any Iraqi soldier that was captured was executed.

Massive quantities of American military equipment were seized during that operation. ISIS took entire truckloads of humvees, they took helicopters, tanks, and artillery. They photographed and videotaped themselves and advertised what they were doing on social media, and yet for some reason Washington didn’t even TRY to stop them.

US military doctrine clearly calls for the destruction of military equipment and supplies when friendly forces cannot prevent them from falling into enemy hands, but that didn’t happen here. ISIS was allowed to carry this equipment out of Iraq and into Syria unimpeded. The US military had the means to strike these convoys, but they didn’t lift a finger, even though they had been launching drone strikes in Pakistan that same week.

    Why would they do that?

Though Obama plays the role of a weak, indecisive, liberal president, and while pundits from the right have had a lot of fun with that image, this is just a facade. Some presidents, like George W. Bush, rely primarily on overt military aggression. Obama gets the same job done, but he prefers covert means. Not really surprising considering the fact that Zbigniew Brzezinski was his mentor.

Those who know their history will remember that Zbigniew Brzezinski was directly involved in the funding and arming the Islamic extremists in Pakistan and Afghanistan in order to weaken the Soviets.

By the way Osama bin Laden was one of these anti-Soviet “freedom fighters” the US was funding and arming.

This operation is no secret at this point, nor are the unintended side effects.

Officially, the US government’s arming and funding of the Mujahedeen was a response to the Soviet invasion in December of 1979, however in his memoir entitled ‘From the Shadows’ Robert Gates, director of the CIA under Ronald Reagan and George Bush Senior, and Secretary of Defense under both George W. Bush and Barack Obama, revealed that the US actually began the covert operation 6 months prior, with the express intention of luring the Soviets into a quagmire. (You can preview the relevant text on google books)

The strategy worked. The Soviets invaded, and the ten years of war that followed are considered by many historians as being one of the primary causes of the fall of the USSR.

This example doesn’t just establish precedent, what we’re seeing happen in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria right now is actually a continuation of a old story. Al-Nusra and ISIS are ideological and organizational decedents of these extremist elements that the US government made use of thirty years ago.

The US the went on to create a breeding ground for these extremists by invading Iraq in 2003. Had it not been for the vacuum of power left by the removal and execution of Saddam, Al-Qaeda in Iraq, aka ISIS, would not exist. And had it not been for Washington’s attempt at toppling Assad by arming, funding and training shadowy militant groups in Syria, there is no way that ISIS would have been capable of storming into Iraq in June of 2014.

On every level, no matter how you cut it, ISIS is a product of US government’s twisted and decrepit foreign policy.

ISIS is a good thing for Iraq and Syria as it has brought back the caliphet. There was no Iraq or syria 100 years back-this was the creation of the british of dismantling the ottoman empire after first world war. And destroying the caliphet. LONG LIVE THE Caliphet

      Jehan,

Correction! The Ottoman Empire was a SULTANATE, run by the Sultan (from Istanbul). (Hence their downfall did not destroy any ‘Caliphate’)

As long as a war, ANY war, kills the maximum number of Moslem fanatics we should applaud it unconditionally. One fanatics dead, whether ISIS, Al Qaeda, or In Eastern Lanka is one less barbarian gone from this world and a service to nature. If true Obama should be praised for his part here, although I think the writer in the typical Moslem fanatic trying to connect disparate pieces of news together.
