Three Teachers Remanded In Qatar – “Ambassador Porter” Orders Police To Lock Them Up

Three lady teachers belonging to Stafford Sri Lankan Doha School were detained and remanded at the Al Saad Police Station in Doha Qatar last morning, after they arrived to make an official complaint against Ambassador A.S.P. Liyanage, who had verbally abused them, prior to terminating their services and having them ordered to be locked up in their staff accommodation for a week.

It is also reliably learnt that the teachers namely Aruni, Anuradhi and Dilshani had been detained after officials of the Stafford Sri Lankan Doha School had falsely filed an entry in the Police Station stating that these three teachers have been absconding from work.

However what contradicts the entry made by the School officials against the teachers is that prior to this claim all three teachers’ services were terminated, visas cancelled and exit permits being made for their repatriation.

When Colombo Telegraph contacted Tharaka the husband of teacher Aruni, he said ” I really don’t understand how my wife Aruni and the other two teachers were accused of absconding from work when they were already given letters of termination and also their exit permits issued. Aruni’s exit permit is valid till the 8th of November 2018. This is nothing but pure victimization. My wife along with the other two teachers went to the Al Saad Police Station to file a complaint for the way he verbally abused them in front of other male school staff and embassy officials. This is a violation of their human rights and this is something Qatar as a country does not tolerate. They are ladies and it is a serious offense to verbally abuse them in absolutely raw filth the way Ambassador Liyanage did. Women need to be respected.”

Meanwhile in a published story under the caption “CH & FC Doha Tour Saga Continues: ‘Ambassador Porter” Locks Up Two Teachers and Daughter For One Week” published by Colombo Telegraph on the 11th of October 2018, it was exposed as to how Ambassador Liyanage had verbally abused and insulted teachers Aruni and Anuradhi in front of many male Stafford Sri Lankan School Staff and Embassy officials. This is as Ambassador Liyanage had accused them of being instrumental in instigating the spectators to taunt, hoot and jeer him at the recently concluded rugby game played between the visiting CH & FC rugby team from Colombo and the Doha Rugby Football Club in Doha (Janaki Seniviratane)

      Saman;

now OUR PUNIDIT -SELF proclaimed ANALYSIT none other than Dr Dayan Jathathilaka.. shuts his both ends these days – is worrying me.

Yes, senior men DJ and that book worm Prof. Wijesinghe should open his mouth piece in terms of the foreign policies of the current men.

DJ is appointed but the bugger has not come up yet for some reasons. I wonder what a personality he should be – to that against SIRISENA govt, but MAKING a U-turn to take up duties as today s Ambassador to Russia.
So how can we anyone keep the faith on the kin do fmen ?

I think Foreign ministry should have a pool of senior men and women, that needs to add their thoughts for a better external principles. Since we have not had it sofar, .. at leas tnow, they can build up a body, so that we can face the future better.

Main problem we the lanken have yet doay – not being able to build up a consensus for better decisions. These decisions should not depend on the party politics, since those are on national politicies.

They ve been in a mutual deal – mutual back licking culutre
Gone were the days, our senior reacted with spine. They never let things happened without their proper guidance.
To this date, Dayan Jayathilaka or the few senior are made LIFE LONG scape goats. They just join to street boys and scare mongers of Wimal Ponnawanse nature to hurt his famly rivals but never seem to be doing the right thing for the sake of nation and country.
Dayan J is now newly appointed ambassador to Russia, but seem sto be shut his both ends for the perks offered to him. So his theories based on MAXISM and CUBAN REVOLUTION etc which he repeats to be on good books have been burnt down as Jaffna library was subjected to. Can you imagine?
I am ashamed to be a sinhalaese Srilanken, I really do

They are Sri Lankans, hence make complain to Human Right Commission of Sri Lanka for how they were badly and ill treated by the embassidor and his offficials, and demand compensation from him and the state. Where is our sleeping walking foriegn minister and foriegn ministry officials ? Why don’t they look into this when our compatriots are being ill treated by the embassidor ? He might be president’s man but who matter the most, the people or the president elected by them to serve them? All wake up and get ride of this humbug idiotic no two penny worth stooge of Sirisena before creates more harm to our citizens in Qatar. If he is an embassider, he should act and behave like an embassioder not a like third class indecent rate.

He is a porter, from a family of porters who worked at Fort Railway station, as he has demonstrated when Rajapaksa’s offsprings arrived in Qatar a few days back.

He is said to be a teacher at the very very begining, but became a business man having being able to play tricks on the property owner. That way he is said to have bought that people villa which he once offered to former Meeharaka Rajakshes immediately after the PE election was over. Correct ?
Not much is made aware to the nation about any amabssadors in recent years.
But ballige puthas of DJ nature too obviously stay mum so long their supper is covered. All in all, I believe, our senior men should be made responsible to have done nothing like putting the pressure on those bodies in recent times.
That book worm Prof Wijesinghe sounds to be all against RW -Premier but the bugger sit aside, and does nothing. These men should either work for unis as dons or continue with lanken abusive politics. All in all, we the citizens are being deceieved by the idiots.
At the time, that tea taster cum high commissioner to the us- Jaliya Wickram somone had nothing but got appointed as the leading man to represent srilanka in the US. Latter man is now being an accused to have grabed millions of US dollars durin ghis term as Ambassador.
All in all, this country and people s funds have been looted by the LEADERs but telling the pallatable.

    Ambassador A.S.P. Liyanage,

RE: Three Teachers Remanded In Qatar – “Ambassador Porter” Orders Police To Lock Them Up

We thought that you were going to fuck them up. Why did you change your mind? You can’t get it up or you are so tired after fucking yourself up.?

Wow!. You can only hail from a land like no other! The President has made a great selection and appointment!

Why is that the acts of this laughing stock obviously not YET being taken serious by Foreign ministry ?

      1. This ASP was reported to have done lot of harm to that collections of the stanford school right – that was revealed by a MP and several new media few weeks ago.

      2. Then again ASP was totally slammed by CT and several other media making him the baggage boy of Rajakshe HULIJJJA kollos:- BASTARD sons

      3. Now all is happened, but nothign seem to work against the man why ?

Is Mr Sirisen still on long slumber interms of external Foreign offices ?

But surprisingly few weeks ago, the ambassador to Belgium was recalled and there is no body yet to that position, just becasue the mam had been out of office onthe day President made efforts to contact her in Beligum

Why is that – is the current mechanism so weak ? as they cant have good men to represent the kind of embassies ?
No doubt, that part of the world – yo cant have good educated people I mean in Middle east – most that the embassay sshould deal with is with the labour communities. There you should be a very strong personality than a carrier diplomat to handle the issues. This revealed the predecessor to ASP was a prof and he was rumoured to be a puppet. And that is the reason why they appoinnted ASP whose credentials are no better to Jaliya Wickramsoriya.
All in all, we also know if you want to settle things, in Mannig market, you also need to send aguy with knoweldge int hat field… considering President may be right to some extent, but if ASP would not behave well, why not take actions ? Best would be to put a former Army man to handle issues in uneducated ME countries.. dont you think so ?

          Pillai,

just check it out by yourself man. Their education is that low.

I dont agree with Lanken leaders. I CONSIDER MR too as an uneducated bastard.

So, him to have done so many things costed the state that much. But the very same man to be manipulating the masses today is connected with the nature of lanken people. Tamils, Muslims and sinhalese are all among them.
I know mulims back loudly as they can for the come back of former goons. These men all the mixtures are really corrupted. I wish them all to be vanished by an another tsunami

“Best would be to put a former Army man to handle issues in uneducated ME countries.. dont you think so ?”

You do have a very good point here. The Army man is likely to be disciplined, and will not fuck himself up, like the current Ambassador and Sirisena’s selection.

However, Sirisena’s agenda is different. ASP Liyanage is the bridge to Mahinda Rajapaksa and cronies.

I hear he is an uneducated person who is not conservant with the languages both English & Sinhala. it is shocking as to how and why such a person has been appointed an Ambassador in a foreign country to represent our country when there are plenty of suitable & qualified intellectuals in Sri Lanka.

What matters for the leaders is primarily nothing else but to bring more investments. Be it through clean or unclea is no matter to them. Be it through the uneducated or educated is obviously secondary to them. Lanka has been struggling at the moment not being able to stand right.
For all the messy loads deliberately made and left behind by previous regime is on the current govt. So not just balance the economy but all the huge sums that need to be paid off should be made by government. Reports say- 7000 million US dollars within 2018 and 2019.

You raise the issue about Qualifications – but at the time, Jaliya W or other idiots were appointed to external affairs while an oxford educated GLP was leading that remember ?
Was that the case under Late Mr Kadirgamar ?
Never. After CBK s govt ( external affairs were intentionally passed on to Rascals- rapist, business men )

In my personal opinion Qatar or in any country police officials support/by there side if the victim is a government or higher officials/post. rather than they didn’t inspect really who is the wrong person.

there is tons of workers/labor rules violation happening daily in Qatar but the government not taking any reasonable actions to avoid such violations happening again.

The question is how Ambassador Porter could work with Quatar police asking the police to lock up them ?

Actually, Ambasasador himself is a foreigner to Quatar and police should long lock him up for the illegal activities the bugger has been doing abusing the name of SRILANKA.

May well be there is no name at all for lankens, since, most Middle east countries just name our country as the place they found their DOMESTIC servant. Once I got to know this in Europe while getting on with several men from Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Baharaine and several other countries. If asked they are awre of srilanka, ” oh yes, our nannie anddriver were from srilanka and we had always sex with them”: The arabs went on saying.
The country – the nation is boasting of the heritage, I am ashamed to introduce myself as SRILANKEN, today, since the exporting lanken illiterate labour to ME rotten world has definitely, maade us no second Filiphinos.

      Simon De Silva

Ambassador Porter is a Diplomut representing the President Gamarala. Diplomuts have the immunity, will not get arrested unless they commit a serious crime.

You are right, they think that Sri Lankans are born to serve them as maids, cleaners, nannies and drivers. In Saudi Arabia, the most common destination, they call Sri Lanka as “the Country of Housemaids.”

However, this slave trade, exporting the poor Sri Lankan men and women to the Arab world is a highly profitable business for the job agents/politicians in Sri Lanka and a good foreign exchange earner to the country.

To tell you the truth – only arabs believe that SL is no better to Philipines. At the time, I was in my Uni education in Germany in mid 90ties, we had also arab students from various ME countries. Some of them (male) were always a pain to me, since they started talking their domestic servants. All of them had been from SL rural villages. Dayawathi, Podi manikes, Balawathies, Somalathas and the like were their names. These arabs were making fun of our poor people. I dont mind our villagers going abroad as domestic workers, but most of them are not even completed their schooling. Whoever this was introduced to lanka, last govt continued in a whole sale manner. I myself, on my way back home each year, happened to fill up the migration forms for a dozen of maids in the plane. I have a melting heart, so I never said no to them. Even today, I notice how many of women that would not even manage to live in lanken metropoles work in ME countries. All because of earning their living. Most of them are not paid. They could earn the same salary if they would stay back home. Today, the demand for domestic servants in the country is very high. I myself thought of searchign for a house keeper for our parents, and had to be like 30k/month.
I think lanken politicians should see it right LET ALONE today, that only skilled worker s to be sent to any country. We have enough human resources if they would have been trained well, nurses, helpers for farms and other areas, can well be trained by in home country before them being allowed to leave the country. Lankens in general are considered as ones who have earned proper schooling. Free education is not common to many other coutnries.
And to tell you one another thing was – in the early days of my stay in EUrope, srilanka is also very famouse for GAY tourism.

We just add our thoughts this way, but is there any other choice for our poor people back in my home country yet today ?

Not many get chances to study at an Uni. So a larger portion remain not being qualified by voccational training centres – NAB or other institutes are there, but how many got the qualifications of them. Not many among that leave the country for ME coutnries.Right ? Even BA or BSc level graduates are just like BOOK worms. I am not telling this about everyone, but many among them behaved as if they have no general knowledge but degree certficates.
They are good at theoretical knowledge, but basic degree courses are also not practice orieented.
I got to know a dozen or more locally graduated BSc holders that had thencome to Europe for their masters. Many of them faced unexpected problems not being able to face the life in winter days in EUrope. Their major had been Physics, but had not the least idea how heating system of a house work. Nor had they been aware of warm clothing. All in all, their basic knoweldge on science restrict to the books.

      Simon:
I think the Porter wanted the teachers arrested because after they were fired the visa is cancelled and they become illegal aliens unless they can secure a visa on their own.

Although an ambassador is a foreigner the Quatar govt cannot do anything other than asking the Sri Lankan govt to call him back or failing which asking him to leave. Govt do not have jurisdiction over diplomatic personnel this is why MR sent war criminals on diplomatic postings.

This is unbelievable, what is AL Jazeera doing, which brags that they are the Human Rights protectors of the world, when this clear violation happens in their own country, what are they doing ?

What is the foreign ministry doing about it?, who appointed this ASP Liyanage as high commissioner, Maithri appointed him just to please Mahinda, knowing very well he is Mahinda’s man.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, do you have anything to say about this ?

OIC has sidelined Qatar. Isolated Qatar will do anything Lankawe ask for, to have some company. If those women remain in Qatar, ASP will produce evidence on them breaking Sharia and have their heads chopped. If they come back, things may get better. Anyway how they all paid to get these employments? Have they seen the breakeven point or not yet.

I ask Janaki and other good Samaritan’s on this thread to enlighten me and other readers like myself as to why our atrocious politics and pathetic foreign service remains in a squalor, and how our state apparatus has become a magnet to attract 7-11 toilet cleaners, sakkiliya’s, traitors, bastards, inglorious mother f’rs, and psychopathic murders to these “honourable” leadership positions? Don’t we have descent people in this country among our retirees, pensioners or senior citizens, expatriates (including emigrants) that are honest, descent, moral, sincere and true patriots who love our country? Is it this difficult to find good leaders to replace the absolute rot and villains we have had since 1978? where are the academics, teachers, scientist, researchers, doctors, engineers, bankers, businessmen (unlike billionaire bastards like ASP Liyanage’s), military and judicial officers, farmers and even students who can be groomed as a better set of our future leaders? I know a few scooter taxi drivers (qualified, reliable and safe) to travel with, and these lads have a much superior IQ, discipline, humility and dignity than any of these D*CK heads.

      WGR:
To start with: although its not written in law Race and Religion matters for preferential treatment. So Sri Lanka by its own fault has limited the pool of candidates it can work with.
To make matters worse everything in Sri Lanka is politicized ability and qualification has turned to be secondary.
The system has been corrupt for so long that the population has accepted this as the norm.
This is sad and pathetic. So how do you change this around? I don’t think there is a solution in the short term but there is a slim chance if ethics is made compulsory subject from grade 5 as you cannot expect parents to teach this when they themselves are corrupt and make politics a subject from grade 8 onwards.
This will help the future voter to make an informed choice in casting the ballot and have less dogs in politics.

What a disgrace !!! What a shame on all the sri lankan men in Qatar, who cannot stand against this bloody hooligan who calls himself an ambassador. Shame and utter disgrace. Surely ASK Liyanage must be boasting. He cannot mislead Qatar Police or are they that lax?
Qatar is already under a cloud for the very high death statistics of the Pharoahs type slave workers and the abysmal living condition the foreign workers put up with.
Activists the world over are campaigning to have FIFA2022 shifted away from Qatar. Lax policing will now be added to the list.

      Pillai:
Qatar Police is helpless even if there was a crime committed. Personnel holding diplomatic credentials are not bound by the laws of the land where they are stationed unless the home country waivers those rights.
The best Qatar could do is to ask SL to either waiver diplomatic immunity or ask the individuals to be recalled. I don’t think Qatar will declare these individuals as personnel non grata as the offenses accused of is not against Qataris.
