I don’t agree 100% about his ideas , learning or path about buddhas teachings.
However I do understand the frustration of the muslims who have become victims of the Facist BBS and cohorts.
I’m happy to hear his vision, analysis of the situation, thanks CT for sharing this.
The rulers of this country should realize that we have made our muslim brothers angry, sad and pushed to a corner, this must change for us to live and let live.

How does the claim Islam is the most peaceful religion stand out against their own history? 3 of the Caliphs (during the time of the Prophets succession) were murdered in cold blood – all Muhammad’s close companions. We are glad the Muslims have become quiet again. The dislike against them did not begin on religious grounds but more on their provocative
behaviour. It began with the annoying early morning screams that is called Prayers and ended with that cheeky Halal Certificate racket –

We must however condemn the attacks on Muslim places of prayer – during
this important month of theirs and also at all other times. Muslims have a legal right to peacefully live and work anywhere in the island.
The other great fear of the Sinhalese is the call by the Muslims – mainly by the SLMC – for a Separate Provincial Council for them in the East. This should not be allowed and is a dangerous move. They are recent immigrants of the island and do not have the legitimate claim for land – as the Tamils do. Muslims will find, so long as they live peacefully and without harming others, they will not be touched. But this may take sometime as the feelings now are bad all over the country.

@Dancing Abraham. You force the questions and deliver your own twisted answers. In any argument there is always for and against views, and in your book, there is only one view. Condemn the speaker, condemn anyone who supports him, or else link him to some to some cult with terrorist outfit. Typical. Even our government resorts to such tactics for those not in favor. Whether you like it or not, there will always be a silent group of Muslims who will praise him for his courage to speak out, his ability to speak eloquently to them in their own language, his logic in deriving conclusions, and the challenges posed for open debate. The only drawback if any, is that he must pick up his arguments from mainstream texts and not from isolated and unknown books.

I tried to listen to this speach. But it is a utter bulshit. He doesn’t know anything about Buddhism and Islam too. I couldn’t stop laughing when he describes “Theruwan” that is “Triple Gem” in English as liveless “manik thunak” or 3 gems. I stopped listening right at that point without wasting my time. This is just the begining of the video. But, I condemn double standard by MR police against BBS and this Muslim extremism. On the other hand, we can see double standard in CT where all the comments bashing Buddhism are published as those are but the comments against Islam are edited out.

This might be relevant/irrelevant to this article, but seeing the comments I’m compelled to write this down.
The Government’s sole intention is to divert minds from the important things that people ought to talk or debate; like Cost of Living, Electricity Bill, Rising prices of essentials items etc. and many more to come. Their part being the stakeholder of racialism and hatred bought among people and have had a far reaching cry through out the country. They are dealing with a very sensitive issue to hide all their gimmicks!
I cant imagine myself of the consequences of these issues in this generation and how it affects to the next generation. Its very disappointing to see how the younger generation adhering these policies in the social media spectrum by posting hatred. Our country is in sorry state!
Yo people! Understand the consequences of these issues and how it affects your son and daughter and how it affects your family, friends and the whole nation. God has given us a brain to think and to judge, and its regretful to see people aren’t taking advantage of it of those beautiful things.
