By Colombo Telegraph –
President Mahinda Rajapaksa last night called Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake’s Instructing Attorney Kandiah Neelakandan to express his “disgust” at the behaviour of his MPs at the PSC which resulted in the Chief Justice’s walkout.
Making the call around 8 p.m. yesterday, President Rajapaksa told Neelakandan the senior partner of the firm Neelakandan and Neelakandan that is representing the Chief Justice to ask Bandaranayake to ‘go quietly’ by resigning. “I will give her some other position somewhere. Tell her to resign. I think there has been some injustice done to her husband as well, all that can be dropped,” Rajapaksa assured the senior lawyer.
“I had no idea these jokers had behaved like this,” the President told Neelakandan (mama danneth na me yakala karala thiyana wada)
The President also made a call to UNP MP on the Parliamentary Select Committee, urging him to refrain from withdrawing from the PSC process.
“You people oppose it. But stay inside and oppose it. Don’t leave the committee,” the President said. However Lakshman Kiriella is reported to have told the President that the opposition would make a collective decision on the matter.
The four Opposition members on the PSC today quit the committee citing a lack of clarity in the process and the biased behaviour of the Government MPs on the committee. Colombo Telegraph learns that the Rajapaksa Government is concerned that the boycott by opposition members on the committee would further de-legitimize the impeachment probe undertaken by the PSC, since the Chief Justice’s walkout yesterday will effectively make the proceedings and the judgment ex-parte.

This bugger thinks he can buy anybody. I hope the CJ and her lawyers won’t fall for his trap. He knows the shit has hit the fan and is now trying the tried and tested approach that he used even before becoming president. Bribes. Just like he bribed the LTTE with 800 million to stop voters voting for Ranil. Maybe he might offer her a plum diplomatic posting or make her chairperson of some government company? Ha ha…let’s wait and see.

What happened to his BRAVADO? The CJ should stay put and see that, Law and Order is maintained even at this late stage, without playing ball with this SCUM BAG. The CJ has a duty by the Sri Lankan Nation and she ows it to the Masses of this Country.

His way of politics are not connected with principles. So I dont think he had any bravado. Now people of the country would slowly realize – it was not his wisdom helped in terms of millitary defeat of LtteRS but the collective work of forces. What a tragic comedy!
I am finding it difficult to find the words to describe my reactions. A bunch the president calls jokers have been appointed and encouraged to make the CJ run, instead of proving her guilt. Are these jokers parliamentarians, court jesters or a mob ? Does the president want to now try the carrot approach, because the stick approach is failing? Is the position of the CJ so low in the eyes of these joker parliamentarians that they can behave the way they are? How can such men legislate on our behalf ? How can the president offer sops to the CJ to induce her to abandon post and run? How can the president try to distance himself from the enormity of what has transpired, by calling some of his favourite parliamentarians, jokers? How can our system of governance survive and function in these circumstances? Assuming the CJ deserves to be impeached, what should we do with the parliamentarians involved and the president himself? Should the president be impeached and the parliamentarians expelled?
We as a nation have hit such a low with this issue that it has to be a new benchmark in our national affairs. We have to now talk of a pre-‘impeachment, impeachment and post impeachment Sri Lanka and not in terms of the war and it’s triumph and tragedies. The president who won a historic war and had much potential to make this country whole and wholesome, has apparently lost his way. Are we a cursed nation?
It is a tragedy that the opportunity to recast Sri Lanka in new, progressive and civilised mould is being squandered by jokers and their masters. The war has done more damage to our nation as a whole than I had imagined. It has robbed us our soul!
O! Tempora, O! Mores.

Narendran, I thought you had faith in this Bugger MR, saying that he has done a lot of good things? I believe you are in the Bandwagon of KP and crowd waiting to share the spoils in the NorthEast? Which MR promised to deliver after VP was sacrificed by your ilk of Tamils, as you all did not see eye to eye with VP. Not that I say VP was good. He deserves what he got. But to work underhand with MR was the biggest mistake you all made. Good Luck now as MR’s days are numbered.

Gemini,
I yet maintain the MR government has done much good in many areas. It was also wrong in many of its decisions and actions. Accepting what is good or right , while condemning what is wrong is what is required from us. This is called open mindedness. Praising does not make one a sycophant and condemnation does not make one an enemy. I want to see things as they are and without tinted glasses. In life no one is always right and no one is always wrong. Those who are affiliated to political parties , trapped in the quagmire of communal politics or have a personal animus against individuals, may not understand what it means to take the middle ground or take the middle path. This is not an easy position to take and maintain. This makes one suspect by both extremes. However, it is a stance I am comfortable with.

Agree with the good Dr. One should have moral courage to support the good deeds of the govt while criticise the failings. It is such principled positions one set him/her apart from others who always look at issues through only one partiular coloured lense.
The management of the impeachment process could be one where the govt may learn the limits of it’s power.
The grave danger in this saga is the significant erosion of the trust & confidence of the legislature and the judiciary as pillars of democratic system of governance by the public.
It may result in a situation where only the defence ministry could be seen as an organisation that can do something proper including urban development and providing leadership guidance to university entrants and school administrations.

Nar,the war or LTTE didn’t do the level of harm that was done and still
being done in the name of winning the war.You must call it abuse of war
victory. The acts the regime is engaged in,on daily basis is, in no way in favor of any kind of national interest. What’s taking shape in the name of
developments are all thanks to JRJ economic revolution. This regime could have achieved a huge success had they fully focused on the well being of the country with the last 18 yrs of power in their hands.Instead people are being trained by way of misleading, because of war victory, to accept
their actions as patriotic.I don’t understand that people like Narendran
could expect anything more from war triumphalism. The victory is an asset to UPFA and they won’t do anything to damage it.

Dr.Rajasingham Narendran / December 8, 2012
Kovian,
You seem to have specialised on the topic of licking and lickers. Was this something that you have learned in your personal life or something that is the result of having been temple servants/ slaves for generations? Of course, the second possibility is not your fault, as you are a manifestation of history. Further, new converts generally have more missionary zeal than old practitioners. The Sinhala Govia to a Tamil Kovia ( Goviya = Vellalalah) transformation, makes you a new Tamil convert. I can understand your dilemma . You have to sound more Tamil than the Tamils themselves. Many brown sahibs from the Colonial era became extreme nationalists, the day after independence and have made what Sri Lanka has become today.

Dr.R.N
/
whywhy / December 8, 2012
Naren,Firstly there was never any possibility for LTTE to win
the war.If you put this question to anybody’s common sense, yes
not only Srilankan Tamils, wherever they live, will celebrate it.
And they will have to sacrifice a lot, possibly for many decades
to maintain their victory,no arguments. Is it the same with a
sovereign independent democratic state with an open market friendly
economy and a majority enjoying 75% of population?I don’t think
you are going to discount the role of India in dragging and ending
the war depending on who runs the country.Let’s now come to the
real point Naren.Do you endorse using war achievements, without any
limit and until people get terribly bored,to achieve selfish ends,
is acceptable and helpful towards bringing communities together?
I also believe there’s more in my first post Naren.
/
Dr.Rajasingham Narendran / December 8, 2012
Why why,
Sri Lankans forget very fast. The people are already beginning to forget the war, as other issues such as the rising cost of living overwhelm them. This forgetfulness will ensure that the war triumph cannot be milked for political advantage much longer. What the people were expecting- unrealistically – was that the economic benefits from winning the war will flow down to them quickly. The fact that the government has to pay back war debts is not known to them. The economic down turn the world over is not known to most. The corruption at all levels of government that has been made into a fine art bothers many. These sentiments are also working to the disadvantage of the government. Very few can appreciate the vital infra- structural projects and the urban renewal and village re-awakening programs executed by the government. One common man asked me recently, ” Para kanda puluwantha, Mahattaya ( Can we eat roads, Sir)”? The CJ issue has also sparked a sense of righteous indignation among the people. A combination that can prove lethal for the government.

There was nothing wrong with the Chinthana per se, as it was drafted through the combined effort of many intellectuals. However, what is trying to overwhelm and subvert the Chinthana, is the human foible that when unquestioned power is exercised by the executive, it can result in much good and much bad. This would apply to the legislature and the judiciary too. Power like alcohol can be quite inebriating.

no body ever bothered to find out what has happened to AG department , who is the current AG , why all over sudden Eva walisundra was replaced with the current one ? answer is 18 th Amendment , by law AG department is directly under executive , AG or none of its colleagues can/will not dare question any of interferences by the executive , its a smooth ride and no pit holes or speed humps what so ever , this is exactly SC and CJ should function as far as Executive concerns , no unwarranted media releases by it’s secretary (Manjula thilakaratne ), no unfavorable judgments (Z score, Divi Naguma ), basically very obedient servants !
just look at current police department , if executive thinks current IGP is not good enough for the job , no one can prevent IGP being shown the door , why ? again police department falls under the direct purview of the executive , same goes with literally all the top posts , no one even remotely can obstruct any of king’s decisions !how many people know why customs Dep head been transferred ? Will the same scenario befall on SC and CJ ?, fortunately CJ has decided to stick to her guns , hope and pray she will have all the strength and wisdom to hang on to her principles & policies.

It seems for whatever reasons, prevailing atmosphere portending evil to the Executive has prompted Prez MR to begin exercising his powers of thinking, not to mention a possible prick of his conscience that happned realizing that that he has been forced to ignore the wise counsel of the venerable Maha Sangha and independent thinking electorate by a bunch of hooligans and criminals surrounding him who are but common tripe and trash…
This veritably is a very good sign.. After all, amid all the opposition MR faces,a common denominator can be found and that is that at the end of the day, critics and agitators, except for a few, seriously desire MR to mend his ways… I firmly believe, as I myself do, that most people who are disgusted with the haphazard Executive moves of the past few weeks , including our Venerable Sangha do not wish to defeat the Regime or or demand that Prez MR to quit… All they want is visible REFORM from within the ranks of the Executive….
It’s unthinkable any one of those well-meaning citizens want a colossal failure and a weakling like the current Leader of Opposition, Ranil Wickramasinghe to some day replace MR whose strengths (none expects him to be an ARHANT)could still prove to to be beneficial to the Nation, ONLY and IF ONLY he takes immediate steps to get rid of a few of its cronies who have brought shame and disgrace tarnishing our Nation’s good name and image, and that of the Government of SL, both nationally and internationally; – may be Prez MR even doing the unpleasant task of getting rid of a few of the Rajapakse relitives in power who display little or no foresight and strive to deliver good governance…
Alas! Where are MR’s some hundred odd Conselors/advisors – venerable monks and lay minstrels who sing his praises night and day included -who are maintained in scandalous, filthy luxury paid by the People of Sri Lanka.. All of them cannot be brainless idiots! Surely, it time for some of them at least to protect their President – especially in these trying times.. and become “kalyana mithras” to their President in his hour of need.
I am hoping to see In the next few weeks WISDOM trickling in and sturating the mind of our President along with courage, foresight, honesty and truthfulness seeking more and more consel from the Maha Sangha – please keep away those hired Sangha who are willing to do anything for filthy lucre’s sake or for self-aggrandisement….
After all MR is the duly elected President and the one who is accountable to the sovereign people of Sri Lanka….

My understanding is that many in the Select Committee are Attorneys-at-Law. Being learned in law and the legal procedures they should respect the rights of the accused. There should not have been any disparaging remarks. The request for more time to study documents is most reasonable. PSC members should remember that they are conducting a trial similar to a criminal trial in a court of law. That means the accused should be given every opportunity to defend the charges.
Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranaike could have simply refused to attend the PSC inquiry, but she accepted the call and attended inquiry.

Dr.N.Rajasingham laments in his post that the opportunity to recast Lanka in a new progressive mould has been squandered by jokers and their masters. His concern for the future of the country is a common sentiment shared by every one of us and the time for such recasting would be dependent on the mass of the people coming out on the streets as in Egypt and certain other countries in Europe now feeling the necessity for a change in how their lives should be regulated.
We all know know that those who become our leaders and deal with our country’s fate and destiny always think of themselves and their welbeing first. They wear masks within masks and continue to evolve from moment to moment doing somersaults and jives saying differrent things at different times according to changing circumstances and situation to hold on to political power. It is in that context I am prone to find the sense of Gamini’s comment.
Coming to the story about the President making a request in the night over the phone to her Attorney to advise his client the CJ to resign from her post with a promise he would give her some other position, the question is if such request by the President apart of his feigned disgust about the behaviour of his lapdogs in the PSC,is if it is ethical or not for him to do so as it was he who was responsible for inspiring the imeachment process.
The next point is if he is getting concerned about the unexpected withdrawal of the four opposition members from the PSC and how that would play out.

Dr.Rajasingham Narendran / December 8, 2012
I am sure the president is a very worried man. Things have not gone according to the original script . Being a proud man, it will be difficult for him to back track. We are thus going to witness more stupidity and more rottenness in the days and months to come. I hope wisdom prevails over pride in the corridors of power. If not the baby will be also thrown out with the dirty bath water. Karmic laws cannot be subverted. When Dharma is challenged, the results can be devastating. Are we about to witness the principles that came into play three plus years ago for the LTTE , coming into play for the instruments dharma and karma in that instance.
Dr.Rajasingham Narendran
/
PresiDunce Bean / December 8, 2012
@Dr.Rajasingham
Hope springs eternal in the human breast.Wisdom will not prevail as you and most Sri Lankans wish. You will not see the change you hope for, for a very long time. There is a limit to optimism. Too much of it can make you naive like most Sri Lankans are. The British on the other hand were not naive. After WW2, they kicked out Churchill who gave them leadership during the war and bought in Clement Attlee. They decided that though Churchill may have been a good war prime minister he might not be a good peace time prime minister.
What did our idiots in SL do? MR asked for a “Kroothagoona vote” (gratitude vote) and they gave it to him. Now three years later, some of them have realised their mistake. But others continue to hope like you do that wisdom will prevail and things will get better. It won’t. A man who bought in an 18th amendment taking away term limits so he and his family can rule forever, is not going to go peacefully. He and his family will have to be dragged out kicking and screaming or liquidated like Gaddafi. That will be the only way.
/
Dr.Rajasingham Narendran / December 8, 2012
Uthungan,
A correction and an additional note: — Are we about to witness the principles that came into play three years ago for the LTTE, coming into play for the instruments of dharma and karma in that instrument. Is the CJ the new instrument? Dharma and Karma work in very interesting ways. I see comparative circumstances in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata repeating.

Narendran, you say that the President is a worried man. What do you think the masses have been under his tyranical rule? Happy? You also say he is a proud man. One to be proud should be Honest with self respect. This bugger has none. So how can he be proud? on what? MR has no shame to retract on any promise given or deny soon after saying something as having never said. As for an earlier comment of yours, that one should not look through tinted glasses, I believe the advice fit you well, when you have made your observations on MR to praise him, as he has never been genuine in any of his deals, but always corrupt and shady. While the whole country is laughing at the Chinthana and equally enraged at the trickery imposed on the people, we have now strange sources defending this hollow mediocre version – fashioned on Mao’s thoughts. This is more clearly to ensure their voices are heard where it matters to them. These sources want to tell us they are well placed to know the authors of the questioned document. We are told the bogus document was crafted by “intellectuals”
It is common knowledge one author is a disgruntled Professor who misleads the Sinhalese with the falsehood Tamils came to the country 400 years ago – brought by the Dutch. The other is an octogenarian rabid rabble-rouser rejected both by the UNP and the SLFP at different times. I cannot but resist smile at what Oscar Wilde said “those who cannot learn have taken to teaching” as we now see the comedy of those who failed to defend the Tamils turning 360 degrees and offering to defend the other side.
Voltaire’s celebrated exclamation “Lord, save me from my friends. I can well care of my enemies” might serve the regime well as they see new sources coming to their defence – unsolicited.

Can you please give examples – at least a few-of where the Chinthana is laughable and is a trickery. Can you also please cite instances where it is copied from Mao’ s thoughts? Further, what is wrong in copying Mao’ s thoughts, when the discipline that Mao imposed on China made it possible Deng to launch his visionary program? If not for Mao, China would have continued to be a den of drug addicts. Has it not been more specific than most political manifestoes? What proportion of it has been executed compared to other manifestoes presented by all political parties at various times!
‘Disgruntled professor’ and ‘ octangenarian rabble rouser’ are terms not used in civilized discourse. Debate, disagree with ideas and provide alternate views/facts, but do not to call names and insinuate motives to others. A rabble rouser to you is a Sinhla nationalist and genius to others.
Who are the Tamils who failed to defend the Tamils turning 360 degree ( which means coming to the same point they started) and offering to defend the other side? Which is the other side? They must have been defending the other side when they were at zero degrees and having travelled through 360 degrees come back to zero degrees done so again! If they were not defending the Tamils when they were at zero degrees, they should be yet not defending the Tamils at 360 degrees! Where is the logic in what you say ? Most of your utterances, full of references to the high and mighty you have met and conversed, are rather hollow, inaccurate and mischievous, as this statement is.
When challenged you also attempt to come up with phrases like, ‘ the government has been forced to do something’, which you have been denying all along. I can yet remember your imagination running riot with respect of the Jaffna Central College swimming pool and the corruption that ended in it becoming only a hole in the ground and a place breeding mosquitoes. The pool was constructed and put into use. When this was pointed out , you wriggled out of the situation as you always do. A man with your intellect should not engage in such verbal acrobatics, make unfounded statements and make warped generalisations . There are many who are impreesed with your words and believe you. You have an obligation not to misguide them. You however bristle at what you mistakenly perceive as a personal insult, like when I called the two-nation theory idiotic and stupid.
I am taking you on directly, because I have been rather disturbed by your posturing for some time now.

My assumption is that this Narendran is a HOAX pretending to be a Tamil, but a Sinhalese, a MR sychophant.
/
Seelawathie / December 8, 2012
This was my guess too at the beginning. So, I kept quiet. His comments are inconsistent by every means.
/
Leela / December 9, 2012
Seelawathi,
You are entitled to your opinion, so is Dr.Narendran; but I strongly object for your saying that his opinion is inconsistent.
Dr.Rajasingham Narendran is no hoax as gamini assume from afar or is his opinion inconsistent as you guess. I feel Dr.Narendran is very much alive and well among us in Sri Lanka. I wish every Tamil is open like him for he praises what he sees as right and criticize what he sees as wrong. Though I have disagreed with him on many counts, I say, Dr.Narendran is an exemplar of an intellectual of the day. I see similar unfair attack is levelled on SL Gunasekara PC as well.
On the other hand, gamini is a different kettle of fish. From every word he writes here, his anti-Rajapakse stand is venomous and pro-Ranil stand is subservient. It’s like a train in a one way rail track. He is incapable of logical arguments or recollection of any good by Rajapakse. His only thinking is of frauds that MR use to win elections; not why majority keeps voting him. I can imagine LTTE sympathisers like Senguttuvan doing it for they have a goal but this man? I am indeed at a loss to understand him. And if you think consistency means ant-Rajapakse. I can only envy your intellect.

Leela, I am entitled to my assumptions. An assumption can be wrong. That is why it is called an assumption. Senguttuvan has asserted that this Narendran exists. So I accept his position.
As for you trying to convince that good can result from someone who is corrupt and mediocre as MR is beyond reason, while at the same time for someone genuinely Educated, Honest and Cultured to resort to below the sublime is preposterous. In short nothing good can come from the Bad and nothing Bad can result from the Good. The difference is like chalk and cheese, no matter how one try to sugar coat MR as done by you, this Narendran, KP, Karuna Amman, Pillayan and K.T.Rajasingham of Asian Tribune et al.
As Seelawatie states Narendran’s posts are inconsistant as MR or anyone else, can not be Good and Bad as one Individual. A Bad person trying to be good is with the obvious reason to achieve his ends to dupe the unsuspecting only. Infact they are only schemers.

Dr.Rajasingham Narendran / December 9, 2012
Gamin,
We have both the male and female in us in various proportions. Males are modified females! Does this makes sense to you? Similarly, the good and the bad are born with us and manifest as per our dispositions. As Hindus , we believe in two concepts called Swabhava and Swadharma. Swabhava is the nature we are born with. This has a genetic and karmic basis. Swadharma, are the values we pick from our parents, friends, relatives, teachers, preachers and books. The values we pick up and make our own will be determined by our Swabhava or disposition. Thus, good and bad are determined by who we are and what we are exposed to. Further, good and bad are relative concepts and have nothing absolute about them. What is good to one man can be bad to another and vice versa. These opposite perceptions have to be reconciled in life to see it objectively. This concept of reconciliation of the opposites (in Saivaism, ‘ Irru Vinnai Oppu’), is considered an essential step to see beyond the confusion that is life. The South Koreans have this concept- Yin and Yang ( the duality and its reconcilation) displayed on their national flag.
Further, where the good and bad, Yin and Yang , light and darkness and other such dualities manifest, there are many intermediate- grey- areas. There is nothing absolute in life. To Hindus, God is the only entity that transcends and reconciles duality and hence becomes the ‘ABSOLUTE ‘

Rajasingham;
Quoting from your:
“What is good to one man can be bad to another and vice versa”
Whatever Dr you may be- it is funny to apply the above to every abusive behaviours that are being arbitorily practised by ruling regime.
See almost every media supported with adequate proofs that CJ walked out becuase not being able to face the most abusive langauge that the pro govt lawmakers applied in that sessions. As it is common to them, they the head of the panel confirmed – ” as the head of the panel I can confirm nothign like that occured there”. It is almost comparable – they can be beyond unlawful. I WONDER WHAT YOU COULD FEEL IF YOU ATTACKED BY ANY OPPONENTS IN THE VERY ABUSIVE LANGAUGE.
This reminds me Mervin once tied a public servant to a tree post and later he asked the victim to make statements so that Mervin can get released. Why to fall onto this levels – and I really dont understand why people continue support them.
/
Bandara Jayawardhana / December 9, 2012
Gamini,
just see this video – there they make it clear that the abusive langauge that those in the session used was unbearable – but the chief of the committee confirm, no all these baseless…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ9Ff5wThlc
This alone confirm – how they handle the serious issue

Dr.Rajasingham Narendran / December 9, 2012
Bandara Jayawardene,
The manner in which the CJ was treated in the PSC, including the abusive language used against her is unacceptable and should be condemned. However, those behind such behaviour, whom the president is supposed to have called jokers, are just that. They were acting the part of clowns to earn their bread and more. There are many like them in all walks of life. We cannot go on categorising everyone into two categories- the good and the bad. What is poison to some of us, may be nectar to others. How we act is in accordance with our Swabhawa and Swadharma. We have not much choice about this. Our parliament is being made a joke and naturally more and more jokers ,joker-comedians and lunatics are attracted to it. This is a natural outcome. If this trend is not arrested soon, our parliament can be declared our national theatre for comedies or house of lunatics.

Narendran, your metaphors used has very little to do with the disposition of a character. A Rogue, Murderer and a Humbug as MR will always remain so. There will be nothing good about him although you try to believe otherwise. That is your wish and belief. Even an Honest person if found once to have wronged, it is like breaking the pot that helped to cast water a thousand times, as thereafter it has no value.

The mighty West backed Norwegian Solheim couln’t nail Rajapaksa to hand over the Land to Prabakaran.
Not sure this CJ backed by Kandiah Neelkandan is mighter tham Solheim.

Elsewhere in these comments it is said the the “mighty West” helped MaRa to get rid of VP and now covering up some allegations.
But you are saying the opposite!!!

Comic strip of Asia! / December 8, 2012
Sumanasekeraa you can suck up all you like. But , you can not deny the fact that suckers like you included, the president has made this country in to a Banana Republic. We are a joke. The only thing we are known for around the world is not our roads, but, as refugees and house maids.
When the President was appointing this committee he did not know, the language Dilan and Weerawansa normally use? He did not know they were 9th grade unqualified . Even those that have managed to go to law college went because Mrs B made a provision for uneducated bums to go there And. , when they failed the exam, they bribe the examiner ( even a bottle of arak would have sufficed) and passed the VIVA.
The likes of you Probably do not know that the truth is mightier.
You people are getting the beleaguered GK depositors to do your dirty work and manifest evidence for you. Those beggars are taken to Hulfsdorf and given coconuts bought by , Sumathi to smash against. The CJ in their minds they know who has their money . they know how the lady of the Guwan Palam fame toppled the GK. they know how the foul mouthed MS held a gun and got his money. So those. Coconuts in their hearts are for those truly responsible!!!not to worry where is Sadam? Did he take the money and the lands he plundered?
We are a cursed country. This is definitely the bottom of the Pit.

You the deaf and blind ones of the country that seem to be the majority present day lanka always call anyone who disagree with MR´s kind of politics are branded as Nrway lovers. Actually, right at the moment, the current regime´s involvement to destroy the judiciary is a serious issues. Be you are MR sympathiser or not, country´s folks should not forget that the impact of this serious issue – will pave the way SRILANKA to become another state similar to Myanmar, Pakistan or like minded countries.

Mahinda Rajapaksha is like this because he knows that he is worshipped by the majority. Why should the people of Sri Lanka act like cowards and bumsuck a corrupted leader? Sinhalayaa shreshta jaathiyak wuuwath, ai da niwata maanasikathwaya? Ai munta wandinne? Open your eyes. These sobs taking SL for a ride. Shame

Are these so called JOKERS aren’t MR’s most obedient Ministers who represent the people? If they are JOKERS why are you still keeping them. As Mr. Safa has mentioned in his comment MR’s will tomorrow tell the world he never said anything like that and he never promised anything of that nature (it is 1000% guaranteed). It is very easy for a person who bullied even Indian Foreign Minister on 13th Amendment, to bully anyone again and again.
Hon. CJ and N&N Associates please for god sake do not agree to any of this man’s bullshit. If you can put more pressure … please do so. Sad to see some Sri Lankan’s protest against CJ just for a few bucks and a packet of Rice or a bottle of Arrack. Those people aren’t shame to livie with their neighbours.
/
Mahen / December 8, 2012
The people of srilanka for two generations have not seen a statesman and therefore cannot recognise even if they bump into one. The people only know of corrupt politicians who bribe their way in to parliament helped by fraudulent polls and prefilled ballot boxes. They can only compare to remark that one is better than the other as they are measurably less corrupt. How can we blame them for not desiring a clean Government? Biased press and Unworthy intellectuals don’t help either!
Democracy by universal franchise in the hands of an uninformed public is the path to total annihilation of a nation.as said by a philosopher not now but in ancient times! Still rings true!

President you must go not the CJ. You are running riot with your siblings and making Sri Lanka a hell hole. You please go along with your brothers and your henchmen immediately. Anyway let me remind you that you are President by default and not the President elected by the people.
You and your family are rogues, corrupt, drunk with power and greed and your family members are not qualified to hold any positions in Sri Lanka. So you are not a ruler fit to run this country for another 24 hours. GO , please go Mahinda.,
