“You Tamil Dog, I Will Kill You” Buddhist Monk Tells Grama Sevaka In Batticaloa

A Buddhist Monk from Batticaloa has threatened to kill a grama sevaka for filing several court cases against Sinhalese living in the district.

Using absolute filth in Sinhala, Ampitiye Sumana, a monk from the Batticaloa Mangalarama said, “You are a bloody tiger. My blood boils when I see you. You are a bloody dog. You are a Tamil Grama Sevaka. You have been filing case after case against our Sinhalese. Stop filing cases against the Sinhalese. Go and take action against what is happening in Wilpattu and Siripada. If you even send out one Sinhalese from their lands, I will end the rule by the Thambiyas and the Demalas. I will smash you. This is my last warning to all of you,” the monk said.

The monk said that in the past the tigers had killed the Sinhalese, now they are attacking them. He said that the only reason he was not harming the Grama Sevaka was because of the police uniform. During the incident, which occurred on a main road, several police officers including a senior police officer was also present.

The threats were made against the Grama Sevaka by the monk in front of the police officers. The senior police officer who was present at the time of the incident, tried to calm the monk and take him away to a jeep which was parked on the main road.

While walking away, the monk told the Grama Sevaka, “I will smash him till he dies.”

Why blame USA and Israel when the problem is within. It is Politicians and the racist Sinhala Buddhists that has created this environment. To make it worse the Cardinal supports giving Buddhism prominence over all religions through the constitution.

Every accused murderer, thief and crooked politician is close to the temple than the regular Buddhists. Everyone sees how politicians have accumulated wealth during the last govt without being able to account how it was done. Has anyone looked how many temples have come-up in Colombo and suburbs, how small temples have expanded and how powerful monks have become.

Keep State and Religion separate by the constitution and do not give prominence to any religion.

Do you think it is easy ?

This is the very same reason why BBS dog was not caught by lanken authorities.

It is the Mahawanse priviledges permit even kill someone on broad day light- impunity is preprogrammed by the place given by Mahanwanse- anyone can commit an open air crime so long you wear Sanga constumes.

Police is helpless here. Rajaakshe should be interviewed by the press men accordingly to ge the most important bits regarding the mad monk… he was reported to have visited Managlarama day before yesterday: These are number 01 planned agendas.

Mervin, EP Chief Minister and this Monk. All three should be detained in the same cell and ordered to watch their behavior against government servants 1000 times non-stop, repeatedly. It may purify their heads.

All the Buddhist monks are not like this fool. Few act like this, Don’t use the same yardstick to measure all the monks. There are several exceptional monks in Sri Lanka.

      Mohanasundaram:

True, not all Buddhist monks are like this but would their Order come out boldly and publicly to denounce this idiot who smears their collective name? I doubt they will. Sort out that first. In a country where Buddhism has been given a special place, it is shameful that different Orders roam with impunity. The balls of politicians and people in power shrink when facing these goondas. Remember that incident when the BBS Gnanasara walked into a Ministry’s office unimpeded and screwed them up. Even in the current case, the police who were watching helplessly should have knocked this idiot’s head off. You and I know the police won’t do it. Isn’t this a clear case of criminal intimidation and he should have been arrested but he walks away as if no one can touch him. So, there is nothing wrong in collectively holding them as responsible for the smear on their name.

      What an excuse?
Are you crazy? This idiotic man in a sivura physically threatens a Government servant who is carrying out his legitimate duties. He should have been immediately arrested by the police and charged. Actually the police man could be charged under the law for not providing protection to a state employee. How does one expect to do ones duties. The Grama Sevaka should be congratulated for keeping his cool under so much provocation.

Not all are like this but there are increasing number of them in recent times. The main issue is, no action is taken against these yellow types of yellow robed villains. Even the police are easy on them in & some politicians back these goons. In Sri Lanka, the best way to commit a crime & get away easy is to don the Buddhist monk’s robe.

Mohan – How come only in Buddhist clergy, one finds good ones and bad ones and not in other religions. Have you ever heard a Tamil, or a
Christian or a Muslim priest shouting in public in raw filth at a Govt. Servant as this so called Buddhist priest did. This is not an isolated incident but happening every day and this is the 1st time
it happened in Eastern Province, predominantly occupied by Tamils & Muslims. He had the backing of Police to do this act, not realising that he was insulting a great religion.
The followers of Buddhist religion will hide their faces in shame , listening to the tirade and how fluently the filth flowed from his mouth. He is a thug in Buddhist cloak.
The Mahanayake Thero should apologise to the Grama Sevaka on behalf
of religion and this man should apologise for the use of unparliamen
-tary words used in his tirade. Lets see what the Buddhist Congress
      will do in this case.

So a direct threat an uruly behaviour is ignored by a police officer? If you ignore certain behaviour it means that you support it! Is the yellow robe a sanctury for criminals and thugs? I dont understand, Well no wonder Trump is the US president! The end of days are near!

There are handful of Buddhist monks who create divisions and racial hatred. Could be a sub group of Galaboda aththe Gnasara. Instead of preaching awahinsawa these bloke preach violence.

I am ashamed of being Sinhalese also I am ashamed of being Buddhist.
All my respect goes to gentlemen Tamil grama sevaka officer and some extent to police trying to keep everything peaceful

Yes, there he the GRAMA SEVAKA teaches all a lession that they are more civilized and buddhists than the monk along with his supportive folks.

Police is sadly helplessess – reminded me the way policists stood while BBS dogs vandalized CCTV cameras of PVT men, two years ago.

      • 5
        0

        Samuel,

“Police is sadly helpless?” – Really? Why only when BBS and its honorary members are concerned?

Remember a couple of weeks ago the Police shot dead two students in Jaffna, just for not stopping, was it? And am sure you can educate me on many situations in the South where Police have not been that “sad or helpless” dealing with even Sinhala civilians.

It is just that the yellow robe has become the best armoured protection money can buy – possibly Gota, Mara and Basil may consider that soon.

The Police, the IGP all the way to the President are all fully responsible and that is the only thing that is sad about this!

Until the Sinhala Buddhist majority begin to open their eyes and REFUSE ERNESTLY and BLUNTLY to condone this behavior, there is no future for this blessed country!

True that this monk is not the rule but an exception, in all likelihood one among a few at least. But that is not an excuse for the rest of the monks or the rest of the Buddhists to stay distanced from the issue as mere onlookers offering sympathy to the Tamil gentleman (possibly Mohandas Gandhi would have been more rattled than this saint of an officer!)- All Buddhists and the monks have to take responsibility to bring a stop to this type of undue intervention by religious dick-heads in any legal issues, and the Police officer’s backboneless response that possibly was in fear of his superior and not wanting to risk his State job.

Of course the language used by the monk is not proper however – this monk represents the sentiments of poor Sinhalese who had suffered under LTTE iron boot for many decades – this is something many of the commentators do not understand – I do not think even central Gov. understand this serious issue – the poor Sinhales folk who are represented by this monk may have witnessed their dear ones being hacked to death by LTTE – and they certainly carry life long hatred towards Tamils who supported LTTE – until and unless Tamils take positive steps to neutralize these grudges – their will be no harmony among communities

Not only you anyone with a little brain would be shamed by watching the video. Anyways, the mad monk had gone amoke several occassions in the recent times. But as you know our former Athigaru had paid a visit to his temple yesterday, may be connected to this incident.

Even the present Athigaru will defend this barbaric act of the Cheewaradhari since he is also after the votes of the majority Buddhists.

      Silva:

Become a muslim. so first cut your sunniya.

Sinhala People need to help buddhist monks who lives inhostile areas. Because, LTTE – Tamils are chasing sinhala people from so called tamil homeland.

Northern Tamils behave the same way. They did not like even the medical officer who talked Sinhala.

Understand how racist is wigneswaran who used to live in Colombo. she is a total racist now. when Tamils christians also gang upto into that. It is a different world.

Silva, you don’t have to be ashamed of being a Sinhalese, Buddhist or whatever. Be proud of what you are. I respect you my friend for voicing your opinion and standing together with other decent Sri Lankans against hoodlums such as this rotter in yellow garb.

Why don’t the Mahanay6akes do something about this Man in Robes?

He is a disgrace to the Buddha and the whole of Buddhism!

    • 4
      0

Man in robes is regarded as god to the area.

So the police is helpless. Mahanayake should make statement if the police could derobe him arrest on the spot – if not today when ?

This is not the first time the monk behaved this way – there had been serveral occassions, he even assulated visiting police woman without fear. THis man in robes is high criminal. He may have been doinng a good work, but he should be able to respect buddhistic way of life. Through violence, he cant achieve anything peacefully. He just causes new waves of terror seeds.

We have to respect those tamils that did not act violently in the incident. That shows their standards.

Even monks to fall on the levels to date, is beyond all shames. We should all be very ashamed.

The angry Man in Robes or the cool guy listening to him?

Buddhist Thugs – Certainly the cool guy was the monk in this drama
as he followed lord Buddha’s teachings on patience. They should in
        fact exchange their clothing.

Really astonished at the guts of the young Grama Sevaka who kept his cool, did not move an inch and listened to the tirade in utter filth
given by the rowdy in Buddhist robes. GS did not utter a word,in his defence ,probably he wanted to give due respect to the robes.

On hearing the filth, targeting a Govt. servant on duty in public , the Police officer should have removed this rowdy in robes by force and locked him up until an inquiry is over. Are the Police officers
not expected to protect Govt. servants, while they are doing their duty.?

Thanks to CT, we were able to hear the ‘preachings ‘ in Sinhala and
if the clip was not available, the IGP would have said that nothing
of that sort happened and the Grama Sevaka was at fault. This clip
must have gone viral all around the world and this man brought disgrace to a great religion.

This uniformed Aava Kuzhu shot two innocent students, then threatened the families, threatened the Doctors, threatened the politicians if they take any action. Then they unleashed their brethren Tamil Aava Kuzhu to and control the Tamil protesters with swords. What the prime minister and New King do on that? They fooled Sampanthar with a cup of coffee and telling him they will take care of all. Then they went ahead and fooled the European and American Embassies in Colombo.

I can ask Sampanthar to take this case to PM or New King. Instead of he goes there for a cup of coffee, I think I will be better off by buying him cup myself. He is the one wanted Tamils to vote for Aava KuZhu Yahapalanaya! Whay a thoughtless thing to do!

When there was a small tussle in Jaffna university all CT PhDs were camping here. Have seen any one of them? They are smart PhDs no; they will not show their face here and have it dirtied.

Digital Minister Harindra Fernanado used similar filthy language in the parliament to insult one’s own mother. This monk also insults the mothers twice in his outburst at 1:17 and 1:25-1:26 minute. Harindra Fernando, the cabinet minister who is a Cristian and this Buddhist Monk speak the same language while the two leaders RANIL and Maithree look the other side. God Bless Sri Lanka.

How come this bastard is allowed to wear the yellow robe?

He is a Sinhala racist mad dog. He was barking like the canine variety – the difference is that this one has only two legs and no tail but clothed in the religious garb of the state protected religion of Sri Lanka.

Not long ago this this mad dog was raging against the Muslims.

Like this cool Tamil Grama Sevaka, the Muslim traders kept their cool at that time.

This mad dog even berated President Sirisena for refusing to visit his temple and destroyed a plaque named after the President.

But, Mahinda Rajapakse gave his seal of approval to this mad dog when he visited the Buddhist temple where this mag dog lives.

How long will the Tamils and Muslims of Batticaloa tolerate this mad dog who is wearing the garb of a Buddhist clergyman thus enjoying state protection?

You seems to know about LTTE intelligence compared to others in this forum. So you must be a LTTE

  • 5
    0

Way before LTTE, the first terror attack in Sri Lankan history was carried out by a Buddhist monk back in 1959 in the name of race and religion! Buddhist monks in Sinhala Lanka are no different from Islamic extremist hate preachers. How did Buddhism in Sri Lanka become so corrupt, the exact opposite of what Buddhism actually teaches? These are supposed to be the enlightened men who should know better but in Sinhala Lanka everything is the opposite: up is down, lie is truth and genocidal war is ‘humanitarian rescue operation’!

When these robed thugs are not preaching hate and extremism they are raping little children, even Tamil children orphaned by the genocidal war! And they are allowed to get away with it because the Sinhala society venerates these clean-shaven Taliban.

This incident is very reminiscent of another incident that happened recently where a Tamil couple were threatened by a mob of drunken Buddhist monks in Colombo. The same monkey-like chest beating behavior was observed:
“I’m the chief”- said the Monk and delivered the worst racist remarks of the night, repeatedly hitting on his chest.
‘How dare recently arrived Tamils question us?’
‘We will cut them to pieces.’

This prick of a Buddhist monk must be locked up – an absolute disgrace , the language he uses just shows his upbringing. the prick would have been born in the bowels of a cess pit. Lets see what the yahalpanaya good governance regime does with this. What more evidence is required to arrest this thug and criminal and jail the bastard. This bastard is not a monk but a criminal who has brought down the reputation of all the good buddhist monks in the country. Would like to see the Mahanayake disrobe the prick and dress the imbecile up with convict uniform which is ideally suited for this dog. Isn’t there a law which punishes racial intolerance and incitement? No need for further investigation, we want to see this bastard behind bars.

Very sad and unbelievable situation in Sri Lanka, hate mongering is the order of the day. Ordinary folks are very understanding and humane but the clergy is setting a very bad example, really pathetic, what has gone wrong with these yellow robes? Let us see what our Creator Almighty Command us in the Quraan ” O humankind! Surely We have created you from a single (pair of) male and female (means Adam and Eve), and made you into tribes and families so that you may know one another (and so build mutuality and co-operative relationships, not so that you may take pride in your differences of race or social rank, and breed enmities). Surely the noblest, most honorable of you in God’s sight is the one best in piety, righteousness, and reverence for God. Surely God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. Quraan 49:13. Let us be rightly guided.

This yellow robed thug should be prosecuted. There is enough evidence to disrobe and jail him for long years. Yahapalanaya, wake up. Mr.President, you have opened the doors for the vermin to come out of their holes. Resign if you do not know how to govern. Compromising with evil is not good governance. It is disgusting see a senior police officer patiently putting up with what unfolded. This yellow robed thug should have been arrested and bundled into the police jeep.

The public who witnessed the incident patiently should be commended. The Grama sevskaya is a great man and deserves to be honored by the public and the government.

Buddha will be the saddest person to see his philosophy being distorted and ridiculed , that too by a so-called Buddhist monk. As citizens of this country we have now come to expect this behaviour as reality in this very sad place we live in. The beauty of this country is not vested in our history, nature, beaches or wildlife but first in ourselves as citizens of this country. Unfortunately this incident is the ugly face of Sri Lanka today and our values and beliefs as a nation are under siege.

What IF this incident (which clearly violates the law and fundamental rights ) of the person who is being abused was a Tamil poosari , an imam or a Christian preist? Would the cops permit such behaviour? Would the general public tolerate this abhoring behaviour? Of course NOT!!!! Why? Because our nation is built on racism which caused the creation for the LTTE in the past and will cause the creation of other subversive forces in the future if it goes unchecked? I hope the latter will not happen but the powers that be and the police are gradually and unknowing culitivating this trend through their inaction.

Over to you Mr. President and over to you Mr. IGP

May peace , love and racial harmony prevail in this land.
