‘Pissu Geni’ ‘Baby Nona’ : This Eve Of Course Has Many Many Adams – Weerawansa & Dilan

By Colombo Telegraph

Pissu geni’ (mad woman), ‘baby’, ‘baby nona’ (baby mistress) and several other derogatory terms were used to address Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake by Ministers Dilan Perera and Wimal Weerawansa during Parliamentary Select Committee proceedings on Thursday, Colombo Telegraph learns.

Dilan Perera

Perera and Weerawansa who from the first were tasked with humiliating the Chief Justice at the Committee sittings were not checked even once by the Select Committee Chairman Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, sources said.

Furthermore, when Romesh De Silva PC who is leading Bandaranayake’s legal team was making submissions on Thursday, he alluded to the fact that even Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden had been given the opportunity to explain themselves. Interrupting the Senior Lawyer, Perera sniped “This Eve of course has many many Adams,” sources said.  The statement shocked lawyers and Opposition MPs on the committee.

The following is the sequence of events at Thursday’s PSC sitting, before Bandaranayake and her lawyers walked out in protest:

1. PSC convened at 2.30 pm today. The Chairman without consulting other Members overruled the objection of bias raised against two Members. Opposition Members dissented.

2. Romesh de Silva PC (Counsel for CJ) then raised the issue of the Procedure. No specific and legitimate procedure was adopted. Instead, documents (approximately 1000 pages) were handed over the CJ requiring her to respond by 7th afternoon. No list of documents or witnesses were given.

3. CJ was told that there would be no oral evidence and therefore no cross examination would be permitted.

4. When the issue of rules of natural justice was raised, the Government members responded that this is not a court and that rules of natural justice is applicable for the people and not for the representatives of the people.

5. Several Members of the Government referred to various allegations, not based on the charges. When the Counsel pointed out that those allegations are not part of the charges, they took the view that the Committee can go beyond the allegations.

6. Two Members of the Committee particularly ridiculed the Chief Justice with totally unacceptable remarks (Pissu Geni; Nadagam Natanawa etc). Counsel was also subject to hostility. Member of the Opposition requested the Chair to control the proceedings and ensure that Chief Justice and Counsel are treated with dignity but Chair did not make any attempt to prevent further humiliation.

7. When the PSC was unable to ensure any acceptable procedure for inquiry and continued with the violation of Rules of Natural justice and in particular the Chief Justice and Counsel was subjected to intimidation, the Chief Justice and her Counsel walked out of the PSC

Dilan and Wansa are officially appointed JOKERS.Walking out of CJ and opposition representatives was a correct move. Now the puppets will announce the already decided verdict and get the Santhosam from the King.

Not only Dilan and Weerawansa, but many in the UPFA today are serving the last leg of their political life. They are committing political suicide by doing the dirty work for the Raja. They don’t seem to realize that no amount of wealth they amass today will keep them safe when the chips start falling.

Rajapaksas may be hoping to escape into the US, but is Weerawansa planning to escape to Cuba? I wonder if they ever consider how they got themselves into this mess in the first place.

Atleast Mahadanamutta (MR) should teach his golayos ( idiotic ministers like BURUWANSE and Dilan the fool) how to treat CJ and others with respect and human dignity. That are the basics. Just to ridicule out calling her this way- is all last that she or any public servant is not deserved.

Kangaroo courts in Banana republic’s Diya-wenna Parliament which should be shut down – there is not natural justice or due process here and the only recourse is for all professionals, trade unions, students, joint opposition to get on the streets and start the Sri Lanka Spring to get rid of Rajapassa and his abominable tribe and cronies,,

This seems to be the culture of the parliment where people behave like rowdies and ruffians. Even a Ven Thera had his private parts squeezed by a notorius gangster in the center fo the chambers. These are the shamless ruffians who are supposed to be taking our country into the space age.

This Bugger Dilan is despicable slime bag, with a garrulous gab. The bugger forged the signature of PM, D Moo Jayaratne and went on a trip to the US. Was there even an inquiry held when the US Ambassador mentioned the matter to PM DMJ? No. I saw in the DM blog, that this Bugger MR has said today, that he does not take revenge from anyone and he leaves for the Law to take it’s course. The Country has seen enough of this buggers antics of how the Law of the Land works selectively. There are no two words that this MF, MR should be kicked out along with his Panikkeyalagey, Wimal Weerawansa to go back to his drum beating.

Dont they have any kind of disiplinary actions if guys of this sort would repeatedly use filthy expressions towards any members or officer – in this case to CJ. Normally there are laws that are valid within court rooms. In this case, even if the rulers continue attacking chief Justice – but nobody seems respect the laws ? What is the role of the speaker ? For what purpose is he there if he cant make the environment civilized. This is a serious case – and the accused is nation´s CJ.

Can you please comment on this Gamini ? I cant get this me being out of the country.. confusing.

Seelawathie, the rot set in not yesterday but long time ago under Sevala Banda. That is why Sir John said that Banda untied the dogs that he kept tied. Banda gave nominations for the MEP coalition for the ’56 elections to the riff raff. So people like P.(Gu) Tennakoon who was a Kavi kola seller at Dambulla Bus stand who knew the Villagers got elected. Similarly old D.A. Rajapaksa was a Gambarayo, who collected the Dues from the villagers to the Land owners, knew the villagers and he also had a Shack selling Kiri Pani on the road to Kataragama. This type of non pods with absolutely nothing, got elected to the Parliment. To counter these characters the UNP too allowed individuals as Premadasas, Mallimarachchis, Coorays crowd to contest and enter Parliament. None of these buggers had wealth then. Today see how wealthy these families are, where almost a 95% in Parliament, consist of such from very ordinary families fifty years ago. Therefore is it any wonder that they show their true colours today? The irony is that one can understand their behaviour coming from very ordinary families. What I fail to understand is that some Members coming from good families also have taken up to such behaviour and also being corrupt and merderous as well.

Previously this man was member of the mulberry group of back benchers who used to keep a check on the govt. Now he is totally corrupt.

Democratic National Alliance (DNA) MP Sunil Handunetti accused Minister of Foreign Employment Dilan Perera of taking money from foreign employment agencies in parliament today (Nov 28.) Handunetti added that the money is transferred to a bank account owned by Dilan Perera foundation.

Presenting the parliament with the account number, Handunetti said that the money is frequently withdrawn from the account. However Perera denied the allegation stating that in politics he breaks all other precepts except the second one, the one against stealing.

Things must have been much better during the time that buffoon Idi
Amin was ruining that once beautiful and relatively prosperous land that boasted Makerere University, to which flocked much of the future intellegentia in East Africa.

The Mahanayakas should do much more than writing carefully crafted soft letters if they are to save the country from further ruin.

These remarks by PSC members were unbecoming and uncalled for and a gross insult to any litigant in any court of law.
These males who made these remarks at the helpless lone female have only denegrated themselves in the eyes of the nation.

In a letter through her lawyers Neelakandan Neelakandn, the CJ has requested the speaker “… to differ any further action until an independent and impartial panel is appointed to inquire in to the alleged allegations.”
Which constitution the members of Parliament have taken their oath of allegiance? If the answer is obvious, why cite a rejected one or a one to be, when there is a one in force. If the CJ is allowed to adopt a rejected constitution, it could be argued others too should be allowed to follow suit. After all we all are equal in front of the law.

Then every one of us should have the right to call for such procedures in Supreme Court etc when we are smeared by judges or deem to be in trouble. And then this country will be in a real mess. Perhaps that’s what those who failed to change ‘Regime Change’ by ballot or ‘Arab springs’ and ‘greeze yakas’ and strikes want! It is obvious that they try ‘Regime Change’ through Haultsdorf sharks now.

Come to the point and let readership know – is that decent to behave in the parliament int his way ? Once upon a time we had polite parliament sessions – but now under MR and thugs it has turned it to a URU KOTUWA instead. Shame on you and the ilk who nevertheless take his side further.

See this report from another website:
“”It is learnt that the President is greatly disturbed following information received from a senior President’s Counsel that the Chief Justice was prepared to make some startling revelations at the next parliamentary select committee (PSC) to probe the impeachment motion meets next.

The Chief Justice it is learnt is going to present written evidence to prove the pressure exerted by the President, External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris and Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunge to get judicial approval from the 18th Amendment and in the case against former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka.

The Chief Justice is to also present to the PSC letters given by the Central Bank Governor in relation to the controversial National Savings Bank purchase of The Finance shares””.

As a Sri Lankan I am ashamed to tell the world that I am Sri Lankan. This process is so sullied that there is no redemption. Is Dilan Prera a lawyer? Does he know anything about decorum and the dignity of proceedings? From Wimal Weerawansa of course one cannot expect much. He is a gutter snipe with a USA phobia. So much so that he now sounds like a psychopath and not only a sycophant of the government.

At the end of the day only the citizenry can change this situation. So we need to point the finger at ourselves for voting in such miseries.

First I thank CT for bringing these news to us all readers.

That’s what I wrote in the beginning of the CJ impeachment that the Govt.MP’s and ministers are comprised with drug dealers, brothel owners, Bar and Tavern and race bookie owners and low end traders….etc.

Both these idiots one an 9th grade rowdy kelawaddas Wimal Gonwansa and Dilan who were languishing in streets looking for work before turned into politics for their own survival.

They have no right to insult the chief Justice who should file a case against them for SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN PUBLIC.

Who is this pimp third grade Wimal who he thinks to call an educated, cultured and respectable CJ to ‘Baby’ and ‘Nona’.
He can find a ‘baby’ at night after 9 pm in Kelaniya or Thotalanga Junction….or call his friend Mervin to supply one. They even don’t know the whereabouts of their own wives….so think others like them also.

CJ should immediately file a case against both maniacs on Sexual Harassment charges both Local and International courts, with the help of Supreme court. THEY NEED TO BE PUNISHED FOR THEIR DIRTY MOUTHS.

Second what CJ must do is to collaborate Supreme Court with International Judiciary, Commonwealth Jurists, Asian Human Rights Association, US and UK courts to file a case against Govt. of Sri Lanka for not giving her rights to proceed with this Impeachment case along with the sexual harassment she had to face during the last PSC hearing.

They could implement a Travel Ban to all Govt. members if the Govt. did not give a satisfactory reason for abandoning the trial.

Third what CJ must do is to collaborate Supreme Court with International Judiciary, Commonwealth Jurists, Asian Human Rights Association and with Interpol to get all the information relating to local and foreign investments, both financial, real estate and others …like land, farms , shares, bonds ets that are owned by all the ruling family, parliament members and their family members and friends, in and out of Sri Lanka.

THIS IS A MUST and URGENT.

Fourth CJ should work with SC and other law enforcement departments to give additional protection to her and her family and her Lawyers.
    THIS IS A MUST.

I hope CJ and the Judiciary will help Sri Lankan citizens by protecting herself well and to trace these Black money which actually belong to the people and could bring justice to all of them.

    Thank You.

Those two ministers are accountable for insulting the CJ. She still is the CJ of the country. Their unbridled mouths declare who they are.

Basically government wouldn’t have appointed Minister Wimal sort of an unprofessional (even though he is a talented politician) to the PSC. However now the Speaker shall involve with immediate effect and instruct both Ministers Wimal and Dilan to beggar pardon from CJ and withdraw their wrong way of addressing her.

According to the behaviour of country’s opposition I expect they will walkout from the PSC on some point blaming at the government because usually they practice going against all good and bad activities done by the government. This is the wrong practice and culture of all political parties followed when they are in the opposition including the SLFP. However, opposition’s (whichever the party’s) responsibility is not finding each opening to go against the government. In case, if we assume CJ has done either all or few of the charges level against her, then she should be punished because even though politicians or other government servants may be corrupted but especially whoever the person in the CJ’s position should be cleaned. Otherwise how could we, as normal citizens keeping the trust on the judiciary? We will become helpless.

Accordingly we cannot say impeaching either against CJ or judges are wrongful. May be the procedure set out in the constitution to impeach a CJ may be questionable but as it was there from JRJ’s regime we cannot expect to change it and subsequently investigate present CJ’s matter. It is clear we could be done it after this incident but current impeachment shall be followed according to existing system in the constitution. Hence opposition MPs impartial attendance in PSC is a must because we are looking at their genuine decision than the stance of the government. Walking out from PSC is very irresponsible immature task when any issue aroused other than resolving it. They shouldn’t try to make an issue expecting some room to defeat the government like opportunistic way. We expect opposition to work in the PSC actively and responsibly and tell the truth to the people at last in the PSC. If CJ is actually done an unlawful act, can we allow her or him to stay? If CJ is not guilty, can we allow government to sack her or him? I request opposition to act aptly and also speaker should involve and resolve the present crisis.
