“You Tamil Dog, I Will Kill You” Buddhist Monk Tells Grama Sevaka In Batticaloa

A Buddhist Monk from Batticaloa has threatened to kill a grama sevaka for filing several court cases against Sinhalese living in the district.

Using absolute filth in Sinhala, Ampitiye Sumana, a monk from the Batticaloa Mangalarama said, “You are a bloody tiger. My blood boils when I see you. You are a bloody dog. You are a Tamil Grama Sevaka. You have been filing case after case against our Sinhalese. Stop filing cases against the Sinhalese. Go and take action against what is happening in Wilpattu and Siripada. If you even send out one Sinhalese from their lands, I will end the rule by the Thambiyas and the Demalas. I will smash you. This is my last warning to all of you,” the monk said.

The monk said that in the past the tigers had killed the Sinhalese, now they are attacking them. He said that the only reason he was not harming the Grama Sevaka was because of the police uniform. During the incident, which occurred on a main road, several police officers including a senior police officer was also present.

The threats were made against the Grama Sevaka by the monk in front of the police officers. The senior police officer who was present at the time of the incident, tried to calm the monk and take him away to a jeep which was parked on the main road.

While walking away, the monk told the Grama Sevaka, “I will smash him till he dies.”

Really speaking that gramaseka is fit to become a monk, bcs he is properly following Buddha’s teaching “patience to the maximum.while the monk is fit to become a thug or there is no word to say.as Buddha said if I am not exceping the gift your giving me, its remaining with the giver,so all the words spoken is going back to the monk.
And the second point is,becouse he is wearing a sivuruva the policeman can do nothing and had to call him ape hamuduruvani and he is protected by the state.what a sad situation. Is this he is going to preach on poyaday for the public.

Unlike all the other religions where the clergy is respected but not considered above law, in Sri Lanka the Buddhist monks are considered almost like Gods because saffron robe that the monk wears is highly respected by the Sinhala-Buddhist society. Any mother’s son, a bastard, a rouge, a rowdy, a criminal, whatever the person is, the moment he raps himself with a saffron robe, he turns into a God and Buddhists respect him by falling on his feet. A foolish race with a foolish belief, very primitive and will never improve.

Yeah!!! You know everything, don’t you mate..? I’m really suprised by the idea that you’ve mentioned here saying that from the moment a person wraps himself with the saffron robe that we consider him as a god….Good to know that…because I didn’t know such thing even if I’m a Sri Lankan Buddhist.

What I’m trying to say here is we do not consider this monk as a person who need to be respected. The very behaviour of himself is against all the teachings of buddhism. Because of the freedom limitless freedom in Buddhism many people claim to be monks who spread lord Buddhas word, but they’re not. That’s the downfall of our religion. So here you go. I’m not saying you not to judge because the world depends on each others judgement upon strangers. That’s the nature. I’m just saying here to gather some more facts before judging.

Batticaloa Mangalarama Temple Monk attacking the Batticaloa Police and all the policemen are helpless and scared…

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLY8W0LClz0

This is proof that the moment a person wraps himself with the saffron robe the Sinhala-Buddhists consider him as a god, even the policemen are scared of the saffron robe.

“What I’m trying to say here is we do not consider this monk as a person who need to be respected. “

If that is the case why all policemen are scared of him?

Why does sangha keep a deafening silence on these unruly thugs?

And some of the commentators believe this is a Buddhist country.

          Sinhala/Buddhism gone mad.

You may be right. Alone the myth related to definition Singhahala – to have been desecendents from a Lion (Sinhaya) is beyond all the discoveries made by existing science researchers. Even if swine and chimps are proved to have similarties with that of a human (homosapiens)- the belief to have been hybrids of them is still resticted to hypothetical states.

I simply believe, they the sinhalase, inlcuding me have written in the gene code to be born fools. Apart from that I can t explain why the authorities stay mum when thugs wearing or being hidden behind safron constumes do all physical and mental harms to innocient people met in various incidents of the day todaylife.
The kind of amok run as seen in the video above is not the first time came to see in screens, BBS monks having walked even extra mile, caused high harms to ALuthgama 3 years ago. Then head of state stayed mum as if that should not be addressed by any legal means.
Even the current brutal acts as displayed in the video above have not been taken that serious by any one in the respective authorities yet. May be the fears in Witchery, they are all scared of touching it – thinking that could be the way to avoid any kind blood baths.

They the authorities (politicians) have set the people in the fate of Tantalus in terms of reenforcement of law and order as it could serve to everyone of this nation equally. All promises have been limited to their lip services. No justice to anyone yet. These men in sanga wrappings do lot more harm in destroying the nation again. We dont want any wars, but politicians to neglect the kind of bizaare acts being promoted by mad monks can only create new forms of hatred waves until an another tsunamikind of riots can explode. Rulers, wake up, treat where it is most necessary, THis man in yellow wrappings is a thug – remove him from the area and put him ina rehab as it is more than the due to allow peace and reconciliaton process.

Minister of Buddhist afairs- Wijedasa Rajapakshe the man known to be even worst than his prececessor
did not utter a single word on the issue even if 48hrs gone the bugger Monk challenged the Grama sevaka officer.

Would this be the same reaction, if a tamil rascal provoked any Gramasekas in southern area ?

      Never,

Authorities, please wake up. Tomorrow will be too late.

Remove that Monk from the area giving him due guard and therapy programs,

What timeworthy is not tabs to each schools, to give priority to the kind of brutal and unwelcome acts by radical monks. Whoever he is- he deserves to go through lanken law and order systems. This man in robes does not seem to respect any police or politicians should be sent to a rehabliitation program for everyone s sake.

I was curious so I checked the Ministry of Buddha Sasana and came up with this:

    “Hon.Dr.Wijayadasa Rajapaksha
    Minister of Buddha Sasana”

Now you know why Buddhism is going to hell in a hand basket.

    What is this ministries budget?
    What is its mandate?

      Burt

There was a talk that the Buddha Sasana Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe who is also the minister of justice will bring in new laws to overcome the above issue but unfortunately the President intervened and stopped it. First of all we need a strong leader in Sri Lanka who has the balls to bring in laws for good governance and not such puppets in the Banapalanaya.

Even though Buddhism is given the foremost place in Sri Lanka, there is no central authority (Buddhist Disciplinary Commission/Committee) to monitor/control the behaviour/actions of the Buddhist Sasana to see if they are aligned with the Buddhist Vinaya (disciplinary code). Even the Mahanayake Theros of the four main Nikayas have no authority to punish the monks (or rather rogues and rowdies in robes). Due to this, unfortunately Buddhism has to pay the price, it is tragic to see that the Buddhist religion is dragged down to such a low level by non-other than the members of the Buddhist clergy. The Buddhasasana ministry is just another good for nothing institute and a silent observer to all the anti-Buddhist acts committed by the so called Buddhist monks or rather rogue monks (cheevaradharis) who are hijacking the Buddhist religion with their anti-Buddhist activities and disrupting the peace in the country. Unfortunately in Sri Lanka, even the president ignores the antisocial anti-Buddhist behaviour of the Buddhist Sangha. Just like every other Sinhala-Buddhists, even the President is scared of the saffron robes and therefore they go unpunished even after threatening to kill a government employee. What we should not forget is, it is the Buddhist monk who killed the SLFP founder SWRD Bandaranayake. From then till now, the Buddha Sasana is one of the main undisciplined organisation in Sri Lanka.

His profile is no match to neither of areas. Neither justice nor to religious affairs. We need someone who is so sensible to act in these areas. Else we will have to wait another 50 years to see the right is happening in the areas of justice and relgiious affairs.

        God help this island nation.

      Burt:
Given this Buddhist priest’s outburst, it is most appropriate that Wijedasa Rajapaksha is the Minister in charge of vermin like that.

Isn’t it time that Mr. Rajapaksha joined his namesakes for whom he is a shill in the present government?

Why can’t the PM/President kick him out? From the time when he disappeared into the woodwork after his house was ALLEGEDLY shot at and the President bearing the same last name visited him he has been a Fifth Columnist.

WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH THE MR2 GOVERNMENT THAT IT NOT ONLY TOLERATES PEOPLE LIKE THIS IN ITS MEMBERSHIP BUT ELEVATES THEM TO SENIOR CABINET RANK SO THAT THEY CAN DO EVEN MORE DAMAGE?

Disgusting behaviour. That a priest should use such foul language is deplorable. The Police should not have just stood and watched the situation unfold. They should have stepped in and charged this person for aggressive behaviour and use of foul language.

      Dr. Kalpage,

had police done so as you suggested what would be the outcome in this stupid country ? All sinhala buddhists fundementalists would have gone amok killing innocient tamil and muslim srilankens.

We the ones living out of the country feel this and that should have been done by police, but where police has no power but Mahanwase guidance, there police is made helpless.

I think Malwathu chapter or other high chapters should discuss the highly alarming issues loudly as they can to get the laws amended in order to serve justice those tamil and muslim srilankens.
While evasively calling us all -SRILANKENs but doing and stay mum where it is due – politicians and authorities have failed to do the imperative. This has been a long overdue issue in this regard.

      Dr Kalpage,

This is the status quo in present day Sri Lanka. This racially motivated tirade by this foul mouthed saffron robed thug is the real Sri Lanka. From this video you must at least get a glimpse of what Sri Lanka is today. The minorities are there to be racially vilified, abused and treated like pariahs. The police and the judiciary also are of the same mindset, that is why these cops do not take any action. If a monk can get so boisterous just imagine how much more boisterous lay Sinhala Buddhist are. All the minority complaints fall on deaf ears. Only horrible Sinhala Buddhism thrives.

Batticaloa is becoming a restricted area for sinhalese that’s why that buddhist monk is telling like that, hear the full story first.

How can he stay in his peaceful mood as he were in past months when sinhala people kept on being attacked and humiliated by thugs???, And why you people ignore that fact so easily and point your finger on that monk??, and should we remain in silence when those people being tormented?, we all do behave very irresponsibly and i’m very sorry to see still these pathetic arguments exist, because the terrorism is over now and we all should act in justice.

The message I want to send out across the globe is, we need more that intend to establish law and order in this country. There, govt has to work hard. JuST NOT even issuing any message, they the govt shows that they have not taken the issue as SERIOUS enough. That is pathetic.

Usha, here is what I wrote in response to your March 2014 article…..
Usha Sri-Skanda-Rajah – Take a bow! Your article is a veritable tour de force. The politicisation of Buddhism in Sri Lanka over the years has brought shame to all decent Buddhists and misery to all others who by fate and circumstance are destined to have to share this island with them. The recent curse that has manifested itself in the BBS et al is indeed a forerunner of the miseries that lie in wait for us in the years to come. For a senior member of the Asgiriya Chapter (Ven. Dr. Medagama Dhammananda Nayaka Thera) to say, last Thursday, that there is ‘no religious strife’ and that the people of Sri Lanka were living ‘in peace and harmony’ has been the latest in a long series of ironies that have been heaped on us. Talk about ostriches burying their heads…

And NOW: Much water has flowed under the bridge since then. The elections of 2015 heralded a false dawn. We just exchanged one set of bigots for another. These bigots too do nothing to rein-in the virulent men dressed in saffron robes who roam our beloved country spreading hate and inciting unrest. Until we exorcise this evil that stalks our land, there will be no true peace. There will be no harmonay. We may even return to revisit a scenario where will end up building walls to separate the various communities.

NO ONE CAN or SHOULD REST while evil stalks this land.

Sri Lanka is a democracy – I wonder why these monks in this country (as always )try to think too much about the country’s politics unnecessarily – rather than focusing on the preaching peace and compassion, as Buddhism wants the world to learn.

Sadly, this is the only democratic country having monks present in the parliament and other government establishments.

The priest was very lucky that the gramasevaka acted very calm and if the priest, or the man in the robe, spoke like that to the wrong kind of person he definitely would have got hammered…and I also feel the priest was waiting for something like that to happen so that he can pass on the blame and start some sh..t over there……such disgraceful behavior.

      Lionel Yodhasinghege

The Grama sevaka has filed a few legal cases (not illegal) in courts against some Sinhalese and that is why this monk wants to kill him.

What do you call this,if I come and take your belongings and you file a court case against me, then I come and threaten to kill you for filing court case against me. The law of the jungle is not applicable in the civilized world anymore.

There is nothing wrong with a government official taking some illegal land grabbers to court. However when the official happens to be a Tamil and the squatters Sinhalese, then all of a sudden the dynamic changes?
      ‘This is a Sinhala country’
Does that mean Sinhalese can just take land for free?
Keep in mind that Tamils and muslims have to BUY land in the south. They dont just walk in and take any piece of land for free and threaten the Sinhalese.

What the Tamil officer says is interesting. He says” is this the language a monk uses”. Who was the Buddhist in this episode. Was it the monk or the officer? This is the problem of Sinhala Buddhism. It is a demeaning of what the Buddha taught steeped in hatred and anger without which the so called Sinhalese civilisation could not have come into existence. Tamils must have the right to unburden themselves of this thrice cursed people who do not live in peace among themselves, have contorted minds steeped in myths and kill their own kind in abundance. Tamils must be given the freedom to be rid of this misery of having to be joined with such people who can never progress and are intent only on dragging others down. Buddhism also must be saved from these misguided people. The police were visible within hearing distance of the incident without making any attempt to interfere.

The officer maintained remarkable reticence and poise. He is a low level officer. What a pride it is to have such officers and men. What sadness that they should have to put up with such monkeys.

I watched a video today from a Tamil website about another incident in Batticaloa where this mad dog monk was barging in to assault police officers. He had gone to assault even a woman police constable. This had happened in the Mangamala Ramaya Vihara in Batticaloa where this mad dog lives.

Here is the link to the video:

    http://old.tamilwin.com/statements/01/124442

Regrettably none of the police officers which included a police inspector did not attempt to arrest this mad dog but were trying to pacify the bastard.

Had an ordinary Sinhala or Tamil man or woman had tried to assault police officers he or she would have been bundled up, taken to the police station and severely beaten up before being produced before a Magistrate on various criminal charges. But the gutless Sri Lanka Police will not touch this bastard because he is in a yellow robe.

Various criminal charges could be brought against this mad dog monk and could be incarcerated for months or years. But the Sri Lankan Police will not take any action against this bastard.

You know Naga, there is a problem in this country.

Nobody can touch the kind of men so long they are in Sanga constume.

If Police would arrest him in that incident a female police constable was attacked – all the stupid men and women, now the command of Rajaakshe et al would have gone amok and created an another blood bath.

Police and politicians are caught by the situation, being unable to go against the like men today – I think western police men would have done the job properly, with the help of CID, the kind of tactics they now have to apply in next days, else, people will not be satisfied the way the aggressive thugs behave creating new forms of conflicts.

We perfectly, know not many among us sihalase are ultra nationalists akin to this man in the video. But BBS and other movement will join the monk, if anyone would react explosivley.

I am so sad to see this person wearing a saffron robe behaving like this. No matter what the problem is the behaviour of this person is shameful. As a Buddhist I am very sad. Lord Buddha’s teaching does not mention about killing someone. This (I don’t want to say he is a Buddhist priest) person gives a bad name for all the Buddhist monks and if there is some organisation in charge of our Buddhist religion, this person should be given counselling.

I agree whole heartedly with Jeevantha.
None of these guys who comment on monks behaviour is ready condemn it, whilst I sympathise with the monk for being incited into such anger, blame squarely lies with the yahapalanaya, who is turning a blind eye to s=destruction of Buddhist heritage in the North and East. I have witnessed these during a visit to these areas last year. Sinhala families who lived in the outskirts of Batticola was massacred by the Tamil Tigers, now the retuning Sinhala families to their traditional homelands are being blocked by Muslim administration in the EAST. Has any one known what has happened to Muhudu Maha Viharaya in Arugam Bay. The archeological site is being encroached and occupied by Muslims. So don’t point at brave monks who put his heart and mind to help these poor families as Batticaloa district is becoming a restricted area for Sinhala families, they are being deprived of their basic human rights and state benefits. They are being harassed by Grama Sevaka’s at the insistence of Muslim administration. The current Government should bear full responsibility for the hardships these families face, the sinhal families are treated as 3rd grade citizens in their own birth land. Is this justification. I know the monk personally, he is incited into anger and violence, he is a very hard working peace loving man, who has been incited into losing his composure by these racially motivated acts by the Muslims administration and the pawns of it the Grama sevaka’s. He had lots of court cases to claim the right of the land that belonged to Mangalaramaya. Without saying things that come to your mouth, the critcs should go to these areas and see for themselves the harships endured by the sinhal families in these areas.

There are decent ways to handle issues. That is why there is the Law to serve justice if injustice was done to those Sinhalese people. You don’t have to implicate others by trying to blame and shame them for the foul mouth idiot, who has a history of such extremely bad tempered, half naked, crooked monk who even stole electricity and got away due to the color of his two piece rag that he adorns which indicate his leanings. If he is had even an ounce of intelligence, he could have worked his way even upto the President and made representations on behalf of his people, and I am sure he could have achieved much more than such a public disgrace. By displaying such rowdy behavior, and hatred towards the others professing faiths different to his own, he only manages to drag the whole Sangha Council into disrepute. Surely this must be the beginning of the end of Buddhism in this country when we have such clowns representing them followers. You are also a racist and a bigot yourself when you blame others, calling them by their religious identities to make you feel good, in spite of such a damming display by a megalomaniac monk. There is no Tamil land nor sinhala land.its a democratic country any one can live any part of the land.

The GS is working for govnt.he simply doing his duty.if that land belongs to govnt that dosent give full right to particular race.

In north in the name of security zone how many villages were occupied.they lost homes schools temples hospitals shops libraries etc they made them homeless no rent no exchange houses either.lot of farms too.but this community not taking for granted.

You could see how that khaki failed to do his duty.so called law enforcement.this is not the CURSE these are the COURSE of the problem country face.

Still lot of people are there to protect to these thuggishness.sadly that’s the state we are in.nothing changed.

If it’s would have come from Immam or Hindu priest the followers of that religion would have evicted the clergies and strip the priesty hood.

All these because one of them slept with the lion and human blood changed it to lion blood now.so by wearing robes that dosent change the circulation of blood in man kind.

If Mani Ratnam after good story for silver screening and mega bucks better step in to this ghost paradise.

There is always two sides to any story.
Did Colombo Telegraph did research to find out why the Grama Sevaka filed a case against the Sinhala people who lived in that area before publishing this article?
This monk work so hard day and night to give a roof above some homeless folk and that could be the reason why he got so angry.
I know it’s easy to put the blame on this monk but we also like to know why the Gramasevaka took such a decision to lodge a case against these homeless folk?
Come on Colombo Telegraph find the reason why the gramasevaka took a decision to annoy the monk?
    WE WANT AN EXPLANATION!

I agree with you Manike, but I think Gramasevaka may be done his part on official level, and if the monk does not agree there is a civilized way to approach such issues. Not to forget he is a Buddhist priest and should have taken the same legal ethical way of responding to the GS, other than shouting in fealty language in front of 100 of people. This is my opinion please, tks NF

Just see the video ? The words spoken by the monk shows his true character. you don’t need a degree in degree understand that. Even after listening to those words, if you still think that he is fit to wear that robe then there is no point in arguing. The gramasevaka didn’t do anything illegal every citizen has the right for justice. If you are saying that a Tamil can’t file a case against a Buddhist monk then that explains what is wrong with this country.

      Manike

The two sides of this story starts with Adam and Eve and we have to back to that era. We have to think who came first chicken or the hen. The answer will lie there.

For example remember there is a pickpocket murderer, now incarcerated in jail. He tried to pick pocket and when the victim resisted he stabbed him and the victim died. So now put in jail.

This person became a pickpocket because he had no means to fend for him as when he was very young he lost both his parents because they were killed by LTTE ‘terrorists”.

But the two LTTE terrorists who killed him, became terrorists because the Government discriminated the Tamil race he belonged to and he was denied proper education and job. So they became terrorists.

So why did the Government discriminate the Tamils, because the Sinhala Government felt Tamils had advantage and was favoured during colonial rule.
      So the story goes on…..

The story goes right down to Adam and Eve and so no one should now go to jail for what ever wrong he has done as he would not have done so if he was not a victim of his past.

Why is that when it comes to the Sinhalese you want to go mild telling there are two sides of the story. Tamils too had two sides which gave birth to LTTE. So be equally kind on the Tamils, will you?

      Manike

“Did Colombo Telegraph did research to find out why the Grama Sevaka filed a case against the Sinhala people who lived in that area before publishing this article?”

It is for the police to investigate and courts to judge.

Even if the Gramasevaka went beyond his call of duty the saffron clad thug should have complained to police or sought justice from appropriate authorities.

The torrent of abuse was not called for, especially from a man of the robe.

“I know it’s easy to put the blame on this monk but we also like to know why the Gramasevaka took such a decision to lodge a case against these homeless folk?”

This was a thug who uses the robe to threaten a government officer.

No Manike, he cant be a the only person to have done such services on behalf of the poor. So just because he is kind and hearted with his efforts helping the poor who are really in need, he must not use a langauge that can provoke the minority folks this way.

No doubt, Gramasewaka has done his job as he is asked to do so. This can be common with other GSs of the country. So as the police is helpless in the incident and the very incidents known in the past – as I studied all the bits, particular Monk has taken the law to his hand. he has not respect to anyone. He has once and attacked MR and then Mr Sirisena and against all that visited him at the place as electricians. None of them could talk to him easily. He is suffering from a psychological problem that is known to the kind of thugs be them in robes or without. Please go to you tube and find more about the notorius man in Sanga wrappings.

The monk called the GS a “dog”. Look at the photo and see whose face is like an irate dog, especially, the lips.

The policemen were just watching the monk’s statement. The monk said he will kill the GS.

Why was he not arrested for the offences of 1. “threat to kill a government officer” 2. Abusive and unwarranted behaviour of a monk towards a civilian. Propagating racial hatred to disturb peace between Tamils and Sinhalese, and the like?

This rebellious ” monk in robes”, now a criminal, should be taken to a court of law, found guilty and severely punished.

If Buddhism is a serious religion in SL, the monk should be de robed first.

      Sarwan

They are Buddhists as religion that dosent meant to say they follow Buddha’s teachings.

Soon you are inside the magic yellow robes you are above the law.only the option for officials to beg and calm like you do it your wife when caught red handed.

These all blessed by old king.if the creator would have been in power the GS would have had nice ride in white van.then the orther GS know the fate.its so easy my friend.

It is impossible to believe that this “rascal in yellow robes” is a Buddhist monk. Is he really? Is there some form of registration or can any one who wraps the cloth and shaves his head be a monk? If he is an ordained monk, by the Vinaya rules, he should immediately be disrobed.
What a disgrace to all Buddhists.

Hillary’s loss will reflect in Lankawe on many dimensions. Old King did not loose in the 2015 election. But was put out of Temple Tree House by half baked policies of Secretary Kerry. Many of them will not supported by Trump’s team. (Though Ambassador Atul Keshap has said American policies towards Lankawe may not change, he was very septical about his talk.) One of them is the way Lankawe handled. New Royals, especially, Ranil will have to leave as he had been put on that position by Secretary Kerry. Trump may not resist Old Royals coming back to power as he may not interested in Lankawe Politics. When Gorbachev handed over USSR presidency to Russian president Boris Yeltsin, the next day he dismantled the USSR. That became the norm that day as USSR and Russia, both entities were bankrupt. Secretary Kerry could not achieve it as because American are not bankrupt and they just don’t want their unipolar power position, which was established by Republican President Reagan and maintained by all other Presidents until Jr.Bush, to go like the way USSR went out of the scene. Secretary Kerry’s naive policies have caused massive loss to Democratic Party. American are not the ones just demand jobs, they demand dignity with it. So they have talked their preferences in the election.

This will allow China to squeeze out more than Port City, more than Hambantota Harbor-Airport, more than the 50 square miles land in Hambantota. Lankwe’s surrender to China will be many folds deeper than Rangoon’s. Just like the way Secretary Kerry tried get involved in with military, China will soon start that in Lankawe.

The coalition government is only maya. That is not a really existing one. A couple of MPs who feared of power change, did not wanted to left behind and agreed to this (This type of aisle crossing was achieved very easily by the Old Royal regime in that government too). There is no agreement on anything even between the leadership level of Ranil and New King. Just like an opposition party and ruling party play power roles in Parliament, New King and Ranil playing the power game inside the coalition. Ranil like to save the Old Royals, but would not mind arresting others on financial frauds. New King would like to bring Old Royals under that but saving criminal army. There is no real force uniting the coalition other than Secretary Kerry’s personal threat to Old King, this made a feeling to the “weather cock MPs” that the wind cannot blow on the Old Roayls’ side even if the Sinhala Mahajan support them. The coalition was agreed only for two years with the expectation of Secretary Kerry leaving his by that time. So now the feeling of all coalition MPs is they are free to form any government in the usual way they were having from 1948. This is reflecting from Top to bottom. This podi Ayatullah is only reflecting it. He had behaved like this in the Old Royal time too.

Yahapalanaya had promised to IC that they will not colonise the Tamils’ land in East and North. Until now, only the Tamil border villages has been colonised by the Sinhala Governments. Now it is starting to happen right in the middle of the sole Tamil areas. The Tamil news says Goverment Agent of Batticaloa has been ordered to allocate the lands as per the Podi Ayatullah orders. She has obeyed the Podi Ayatollah’s orders. The Grama Sevaka may soon be brought to 4th floor under PTA and investigated as a LTTE like the way Podi Ayatullah is blaming him for doing his job.

The inexperienced handling of Lankawe’s politics by Secretary Kerry will hurt Tamil for at least next four years. In his last year’s speech he had claimed that Myanmar and Lankawe had been brought back to Democracy and he claimed he had given a change to the negotiations to work. We wrote here that Myanmar’s dictatorship was there only because military took over the power, but Lankawe’s dictatorship is installed by genuine democratic election process as pure breed of racism and Sinhalese voters have to maintain that dictatorship in Lankawe at any cost to wipe out minorities. So, we said any of his claims were only illusion and he may confess it in the White House or Congress. When the Last UN sitting was taking place he contented that none of the expected changes in Lankawe took place because of some elements in the SLFP.

Though before he go out he contended that he lost on the Lankawe’s bid, but the way did it also naive. He said only few elements in SLFP was doing it. There is substantial difference existing in what is real SLFP and what he calls as “some elements of SLFP”. Whether the Old Royal faction and Joint Comedians are only “some elements of SLFP(UPFA)” or not is a debatable point. But no debate on the fact that they are the people blocked the democratization process which Secretary Kerry mentioned, i.e the new constitution, reconciliation and development(instead of responsibility and accountability which Tamils asked him to put through the UNHRC). Is holding the SLFP’s General Secretary position and claiming the SLFP as legally his by New King is accepted by the Sinhalese or is it still Sinhalese think the Old Royals have the SLFP? If the Sinhalese allow the Old Royal faction to form a New party and win the election which will be the real SLFP, in Sarate Secretary Kerry’s speech? What he did in that talk was he tried stress that even if had fallen down in the wrestling competition his mustache did not gather dirt. (Vizhunthaalum Meesaiyil Mann padavillai).

The Mahanayakes’ should be blamed for this action. They do not have powers to remove a Buddhist monk from the Sasana and they will not allow the Government to enact an act through the Parliament to do that as well. We all have to blame the Mahanayakes’ for not being a good citizen of the country.

The Police officer who was there appears to be a senior officer, he could not control the incident and he has to be interdicted and an inquiry held.

If the Government does not take action then this is going to spread. President blamed Dilrukshi for being slow, whom are we to blame for not taking action in this case? The President?
