Three Muslims have been arrested this afternoon while reportedly attempting to torch a Sinhalese business establishment in Darga Town, with no arrests being made as yet on the mob which caused mayhem in the Aluthgama and surrounding area during the past two nights.
Reports said that the youth had been arrested with two petrol bombs, while one youth had been arrested while attempting to flee.

The Colombo Telegraph reliably learns, that 12 persons who were the ‘main brains’ behind the riots, belonging to the BBS or its affiliations were arrested and released on orders “from the top”.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a senior defence official told Colombo Telegraph that the 12 persons played an integral role in the riot, but were released due to orders.
Meanwhile, a Bodu Bala Sena affiliated rally organised in Mawanella was called off after the Police obtained a court order against the rally.
Media reports also said that the Chairman of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Kirama Wimalajothi had resigned from the organisation “due to his dismay at its conduct”
Reports however said that Wamalajothi was not willing to come before the media and make a statement denouncing the organisation.
Earlier a Sri Lankan journalist, detailing the modus operandi of the BBS wrote that the BBS opts to blackmail monks who do not fall in line with their ideologies, leaving many against the organisation helpless.

More evidence have surfaced which bear testimony that the murder and mayhem that were unleashed in Dharga town, Alutgama via racial violence , are based on the plans, plots and instigation of the Rajapakses , according to reports reaching Lanka e news.
Though T 56 weapons were given to the 134 police officers sent to the turbulent venue , by the Colombo police field headquarters , live bullets had been supplied only to six officers while others were supplied with rubber bullets .
34 STF soldiers had been dispatched on the orders of the criminal defense secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse but they had been given strict instructions not to fire at the protestors under any circumstance. If arson is being committed, these soldiers had been instructed to go to that venue along with a police officer of that region . Gota had issued this instruction to the IGP via an instantaneous message.
It is sad to note Gota gave these precautionary instructions in connection with the present violent protests launched by the BBS demonic monks to protect the latter , but in regard to the people’s peaceful protests demanding drinking water at Rathupaswala recently , Gota did not issue such instructions to save the protestors.

What must take center stage is not what the frontsmen of fascism are doing but what the government is doing with the state that is at its disposal in order to arrest the progression of fascism. The government is doing nothing in this direction and instead is bestowing legitimacy on the fascists by conferring with them and making joint decisions. In doing so the government seems to be happy making common cause with fascism.
Interestingly it is not only the government that is warmly accommodating fascism. A whole load of so called intellectuals LED BY DJ are putting in many hours and much effort making apologies for the government and legitimizing its accommodation of fascism.
I have said this years before and am saying it again: 1. Fascism has already siezed the Sri Lankan state and it will spread to India and will cause a third world war. The election of Modi is a step in this direction. 2. Fascism cannot be contained by an internal force and external intervention is essential if it is to be contained making the third world war inevitable. 3. It is essential to ensure that all those who legitimize fascism and function as apologists for governments that are fascist must be identified and punished.

What a world of mass hoodwink, injustice, discrimination and racial prejudice that we live in. It starts from the very top. Nothing has been said nor done about mob attacks, but some Muslim men arrested with alleged petrol bombs trying to destroy some homes. Can anyone believe these lies? This bloody carnage which took place was intended to cause a backlash, but it was not coming, and now it has become difficult for them to turn this incident into a quagmire and distort the facts, on who attacked whom. The purported resigning of the leader of BBS (if it is a fact) should send a strong signal to the entire country, that all Sinhalese people who are still shell shocked at this carnage enacted on their behalf, do not support this behavior. The government must pay adequate compensation for lives lost(although however much will never be sufficient)including damage caused to private and business properties if they are sincere and want to win back the trust of the Muslims. But I doubt this will ever happen.

If this news item which states resignation of Kirama Wimalajothi Tero is true then it’s a step in the right direction. At least he had the moral standing to take that decision and step down. This is an eye opener to all the muslim ministers in the government while they are still contemplating what to do or rather how they can still hang on to their positions.

People are dead, property damaged, livelihoods destroyed. This is done and it has spread all over the world. The damage is already done. What we can do is ensure that it does not happen again 1st step in this direction would be to ban BBS, book all those who instigated violence.
It is reported police has obtained a court order to prevent a BBS rally in Mawanella. The BBS plan is very clear they want to spread this, unfortunately there are so many jobless people in Sri Lanka to ride such waves.
BBS is not doing this by themselves. There are external factors in this. Last time around LTTE was used to push an outside agenda which prolonged the war and suffering. This time around they have found a better ally with a much wider fan following.
Ultimate objective is the same in both cases. We have fell for it. As we are not that smart, people in power, they see opportunity for themselves. All what they care is the next election.

But calm, down, calm down : who knows who the forces work…….one of these days, after the racist ways of certain lesser dignified Sinhala-Buddhists, the Americans might just come in and hand Sri Lanka over to Veddas and make it a huge Vedda reservation. 2) Provoke even a small number of Muslims to take up arms with the hope of labeling them as Al-Qaeda and thus cosy up to the US

No, no you people don’t understand the logic behind for not arresting Balu Sena thugs. If there are any arrests the credit will not go to our 3 Sanwedee, Palapurudu and Nihathamani Aadambarakara thatha. Just watch as soon as he comes he will order Illangakoon (Polishpathi) to arrest culprits and bring them to the books. Police can find many “Kangattas” for this purpose. He will visit Aluthgama and Dharga Town and apologize for what happened and assure that this will not repeat in the future and offer Govt. help to rebuild their burnt houses and business properties. No,regime wants votes from any ethnic group for re-election. Disharmony is not going to be created by them. There is no gain for them, by disrupting existing peace.
It is more likely that those who oppose the regime is causing all these mayhem. Divide and rule group. Foreign powers, in particular US is the more likely powerful organized body that might be causing it, just like in the middle east in recent years. Obviously Tamil diaspora, local opposition politicians, and NGOs may be in it either as resourcing the troublemakers, or as gaining from this event.
BBS is a good , bad conduct and blind anger, unfortunately BBS too have become victims. We have the beginning of an impending disaster, just like that happened to Iraq, Egypt, Libya etc,where decades of hard work and progress made by those dictatorial rulers were destroyed within months. The ones who are blindly baying here for the current regime’s blood may be just as much contributing to the destruction of this nations short lived peace from terrorism.

Why we are talking about taking action against the MOB. First of all the Government of Sri Lanka should immediately arrest Balu Bala Sena Gonsara Thero under Prevention of Terrorism Act. Under this Act any person who instigates violence against another community can be taken into custody and charged. Why is the Rajapakse government not doing this?
